SamFisher338
Hello everyone. As my first attempt at modding Skyrim I'm trying to remove the horns on the Iron Helmet, to make a kinda historical accurate viking helmet. I suck at modeling, but I've tried to edit the mesh in Blender and achieved a kinda bad but reasonable enough result for testing. The problem is that even following tutorials I wasn't able to get it working. Since I'm a noob in this, I probably did something wrong. This is what I came up with ingame: http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u73/SamFisher338/Viking%20-%20Oblivion/TESV2011-12-1701-22-34-31.jpg Does anyone have any clue about what is wrong? It just floats there without following the character animation and obviously has texture problems.
SamFisher338
Ok, so I was able to get it working, but I still have some problems: http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u73/SamFisher338/Viking%20-%20Oblivion/TESV2011-12-1716-24-38-14.jpg Is it the materials fault? SamFisher338
How? I have enabled the VCol Paint flag in blender but made no difference.
SamFisher338
Oh, it worked now. The tutorial said to set Has Normals > no. I tried leaving it at yes now and it worked :ermm: Now it's just texture editing, wich I know how to do
Ghogiel
what tutorial said to set has normals to no? you would only do so with the body meshes that don't use tangent normal maps... thus don't use vert normals...
SamFisher338
http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3790 The tutorial used a body mesh, but didn't say anything about it being specific for body meshes.
