Palanai Posted December 18, 2011 Share Posted December 18, 2011 Hi. I have a problem browsing the skyrim nexus site. I dont have any problem whatsoever with other nexus sites but with the skyrim one, I can only browse for about 10 seconds before I lose connection. Then I have to wait at least 30 seconds before I can reload the page I was on. After that, I have another 10 or so seconds and the process repeats. It's extremely hard to download mods this way. I have no idea what's wrong, tried deleting cookies, reinstalling browser, trying other browsers. I'M currently on Chrome but tried Firefox and IE as well, same results in all 3. Again, this only occurs with the skyrimnexus, all other nexus sites work fine. Help, please. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
maboru Posted December 18, 2011 Share Posted December 18, 2011 Do to the overwhelming popularity of Skyrim the Skyrim Nexus servers are in turn overwhelmed. Happens a lot on weekends. Either keep trying and deal with the delays or come back when there's less traffic. It's a free site after all so it's not like they can just go out spend a fortune on new servers! Happens on weekends, weekdays, night, morning, always the same 10 second cycle no matter what. All the other Nexus sites work for me with Firefox but on Skyrim Nexus I can't D/L >2meg files (the D/L window redirects to TES Nexus 'go premium' page!). On my laptop (with Firefox) I have no problems with Skyrim Nexus. However, when I switch over to IE on my desktop then Skyrim works fine. There appears to be a web hosting software problem on the Skyrim Nexus site but the only delays I get I've attributed to traffic. In your case I suppose there could be an IP problem if you experience disconnects and delays when you try to D/L from other sites as well? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
