skyrimnexus bugged on firefox

Hey

skyrimnexus is bugged on my firefox. I can log on/off, search for files etc., but if I go to a file the description is empty. I can still see the 3 images on top of the file page, all the links to description, images, files, videos etc, but clicking on them doesn't open the chosen section, and it keeps ''description'' in selected mode (though no description text, just the description button colored).

This is only on skyrimnexus (tesnexus for example still works fine) and only on mozilla firefox (downloaded google chrome and tried on that, and there I can look at files on skyrimnexus just fine).

Now for the moment using google chrome for skyrimnexus browsing is fine, but it'd be nice if I can do all internet stuff on one browser again and dont have to switch :P

EDIT: oh, forgot to mention this. When I mouse over the drop-down menus on top of skyrimnexus on firefox, the menus don't drop down :P So if I mouse over Files, Images, Forums for example I dont see the lists of options appear

Ah, that would explain why I couldn't login at http://www.skyrimnexus.com/.

Resetting my password sent me to the forums here, which work fine. But can't login on the above link in firefox.

Now using IE (Ugh) and works fine.

That sounds like a different problem from the problem I've got :P I still am able to log in, just not do much else.

You guys aren't running NoScript are you? If so, make sure skyrimnexus.com is in your whitelist of trusted sites. Those menus are all javascript powered.

Nope not NoScript, but it turns out the problem was AdBlock plus. Very weird since I've been using it for ages and skyrimnexus only started bugging for me recently.

Anyway, in AdBlock plus I created exceptions for 2 things that were blocked and now it works again. So thx :P

  • 3 weeks later...

AdBlock Plus will remove whole SECTIONS of code from a website in order to remove ads. This often leads to... well... what you have here.

Personally I use Opera with the Turbo feature enabled. It refuses to let flash load until YOU click on it.... which also means no annoying ads ;)

Good luck getting the ads to go away cleanly with any other option than subscription. The best you'll be able to do is make the flash ones not load.

AdBlock Plus works perfectly well on all of the Nexus sites. I speak from experience here :)
