It's quite fun. Though everybody is in their underwear now. and I mean EVERYBODY that I could loot.

Hunters in wilderness have a little money fond, like 18 gc or so, but they will by from you EVERYTHING what cost less then 18! with out limits! For example: If you have 30 Hides worth 12 each or sabre tigers tooths, bear claws....you can sell to him all of them one by one ( 360 gc!) and hunter will still have his original 18!

Banish daggers ftw. I will buy the first banish item I see no matter the cost, because it will pay off within 1 hour or less of playing. So far, I've always been able to find a banish item starting around level 26-28.

For those who live in Riften, don't forget that there is an altar of Dibella in Haelga's Bunkhouse.

I hear that investing with the merchant in Riverwood really ups his available gold. To the tune of 11k. Too bad you can't buy a house there.

Yet.

A shame, because I butchered the entire town of Riverwood to optimise the Ebony Blade's health drain property. Oh well, on another non-2H playthrough.

Yes. Whiterun is the best spot since there will be three separate inventories to check on each spawn day. Just make sure Adrianne is outside her shop where she normally is. Whenever she goes inside, she and Ulfberth seem to share the same inventory. I can virtually guarantee that paralysis will start showing up in the mid to late 20's, and banish shortly thereafter. Paralysis is a pretty good enchant to sell if you get unlucky on finding banish items.

I think stamina damage (which appears quite early) may be one of the better early enchants. Even if I buy filled petty gems at around 100gp and count the cost of the dagger at around 4gp, I still make at least 70gp profit per dagger. Obviously it's even better with self-filled gems.

This brings up a question. DAE feel like the soul trap spell is super clunky? On mages, I just end up taking the bound weapons branch of the conjuration tree. Helps level up melee skills anyway.

This list is very helpful: http://www.uesp.net/...#Weapon_Effects. Lower "Base Uses" give you more valuable enchanted items. As you can see, the banish effect is by far the most profitable. You'll get one of these rare enchanted items either by buying or as random loot, starting as soon as you're level 22 or higher.

If you don't like the stuff that you've found in a chest, just completely reload this area. Which means: First, load a previous saved game where you're not in the area that contains the specific chest. Then you enter and load the area again. Not just reentering/reopening the chest, the whole area has to be reloaded (loading screen with the quotes in the corner, hope you understand what I mean ;) ). Repeat these steps until you have an item of your choice, preferrably a banish weapon if you haven't found one so far.

Whiterun has even 5 merchants who trade weapons/apparel. Only Eorlund doesn't want to sell enchanted stuff.

enchanting(Talos knows how much this'd get you)

Two iron daggers enchanted with petty banish cost more than what any merchant can pay for.

The problem with banish is that you only rarely come across it, hit or miss.

So the first time you come across one, disenchant it, instead of selling it. From then on when you come on an enchant table, you can make as many "with banish" weapons as you have unenchanted weapons and filled soulgems. And as far as merchants not having enough money, until someone comes up with a lore driven way to enrich Skyrim's merchants, you might try the Rich Merchants mod. It can relieve your stress.
