GiraffeMonster
I've got an Nvidia Geforce 7300 GT. 512MB of DDR Ram. While only being DDR makes it slow, my Intel Celeron 2.66Ghz Single Core bottlenecks the whole system before the graphics card makes a difference. jhonsadins
Hello I am new to the graphics world. I am currently in school about to finish with CIS degree. I do not have much time to research due to overload of work. I am looking for the best graphics card that I can get around $150 or less. As of right now I only need it to play blue ray and hd movies. I would like to have the options of being able to play games also (when I get a chance in the future). I have an HP p6130y with one PCI Express x16 graphics slot. I am in confusion as to whether or not I can install a 2.0 x16 card. Thank you for any help you can assist me with.
Illiad86
This honestly, it's the card I have. It plays everything on high at high resolution. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131328&cm_re=5770-_-14-131-328-_-Product oh wow $135! Dangit lol Oh..it's 512MB that's why it's cheap. More RAM seems to help with AA and AF, I have the 1 GB version http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161338&cm_re=5770-_-14-161-338-_-Product still a good price, I got mine a little cheaper than that with promo code. You can install a 2.0 x16 card in your board. I have a 1.0 board and it works...it just takes my computer a minute or so to recognize it's a graphics card...old motherboard...and no BIOS update. The motherboard in yours is probably much newer than mine, you shouldn't run into the problem I'm having. It's not really a problem...just an annoyance lol. It boots up and I don't have an errors or crashing when playing games, so I live with the long boot up time :P
