Your favorit vanilla companion

So as title state, which companion do you prefer, and what are the best comment heard from it.

 

And I will start:

 

Cait, like her hard wiew on the commenwealth, plusside her Irish accent is kinda cool.

 

Comment, was going over a drawbrigde and she say's:

my favorite comments come from Strong. fluffyninjalama did some you tube videos, the one with reactions to cannibalism was pretty good. I don't have the perk so it was something I hadn't seen in game.

Danse is so hardline its comical. I took him on an institute mission to plant some seeds and he nearly blew a gasket.

Curie, Piper, and Cait are all cute so I like them wandering around home base

Ada is my best girl. She won my heart the first time I saw her dual wield gatling lasers.

My favourites are Strong, X6 and Danse. I'd not ever had Curie before but got her yesterday so everything she says is new for me.

Danse flips out on any Institute mission so I make him wait far away while I do stuff. Even sarcasm goes over his head and most times he dislikes it.

I'm still getting used to Curie. I assume she prefers helping people rather than evicting them from their settlements :D

Stong and X6 suit my playstyle so it's easy for me to max them out fairly quickly.

I can't think of any memorable/favourite comments. I've had X6 the longest and am still hearing the odd new thing. For a long time I had a mod to stop npc comments which included followers. But X6 doesn't say much anyway, unlike yappy Piper so I deactivated the mod. I just don't hang around Follower Central (Red Rocket) for too long in case Piper starts talking and doesn't stop.

Dogmeat, I find the FO4 companions to all be generally lacking.

 

If I had to pick a human I would say Cait too.

I don't really like traveling with any companions, as I play stealth sniper mostly and their stealth is lacking to say the least, Hancock is probably my fav.

 

As for comments, I always laugh when I hear,

Macready: "It's quiet...too quiet...HAHAHA, I always wanted to say that!"

Preston, when I was naked: "You're not gonna like the sunburn you're gonna get."

Ada. She's a good henchman/bodyguard.

 

Codsworth and Doghmeat are okay. For romance, Piper and Cait. Macready makes a decent sidekick. Nick has the best one-liners. Strong is funny, but limits gameplay. Curie's okay, but I can't handle that badly done French accent. Preston is too self-righteous. Haven't had much experience with Deacon, and never used either Danse or that Institute synth guy.

 

Right now though, I prefer just using the Construct A Custom Companion mod. Also the Mara companion in Tales from the Commonwealth - probably the best I've come across.
