Okay, here is the Velociraptor.

I am intending for it to be a pack based rival to the wolves of Skyrim. I'll be placing them in flat area like Whiterun hold, the Pale, and possibly in the marshes of Riften.

 

I'm thinking that the spikes and horns look out of place on a sleek and fast predator, so I'll most likely make this model for the pack leader, then add in a later model for the normal Velociraptors.

 

The bonus boss, TEH COCKATRICE, is up next.

Hey sorry for not posting for so long.

 

I've been busy with schoolwork, writing, finding a job and getting my L's, its been kind of hectic.

 

However I may put this on hold until Dawnguard is released, mainly because of the new Dragon movements and animations. Means a bit more work for me I'm afraid. So I'm hoping I won't have to redo the models all over again, and can just copy the new Nif nodes to them.

Right. Been having a bit of trouble with the models since I can't wrap my head around the complicated process of converting OBJs into usable NIFs again.

 

So I'll most likely be starting up work again once a new nifscript has been released for Blender 2.6 or 5x

its not a wyvern if it has 4 legs, wyvern actually dont like dragons and they sometimes try to kill them, they also dont have a breath weapon either so... ik this because i play a dorkish game called dungeons and dragons. they can also have wings but it does not act like a arm like dragons do. they have tails with a sharp or barbed spike at the end

Doesn't matter to me, it's a cool name. Besides the name was already debated over and resolved pages ago. Basically the four legged guys are now Drakes, the ones without legs, arms or wings will be called Slitherers.

Read the first post on curiosity and found myself reading all 18 pages. Fantastic work, I really hope to see these in-game soon. My only bit of nitpicking is that the velociraptor should be a little more upright, as the vanilla Dragons and your Drakes can support their front halves with their wingclaws/legs, respectively, but it looks the raptor would just tip over because it's tail couldn't counterbalance the weight of it's chest, neck, and head. But I'm cool if you'd rather keep it the way it is, looks fine :smile:

 

I also think a Drake mount would be cool, but I don't see how you could ride it into a city without everyone panicking.

I'd like to see me make a drake mount as well, because the dragonborn needs a scaly horse thing that can breath fire. It'd be sweet.

 

Yeah but I've only really made the models for them essentially, I'm waiting until nif scripts become available for the latest blender, which will cut down the workload immensely for what I need to do.

 

I'll probably be starting up work on my babies when Dawnguard rolls around for PC.

 

And don't worry about the Velociraptor, my models are WIPs until I'm completely satisfied with them.

I actually had a quest idea that would culminate in getting a Drake mount, but I don't think I'll post it unless you are taking ideas for it, because

1. It's your mod,

2. My idea would require creating two caves, I don't know if making landforms is different from models, and

3. It's a lengthy-sounding quest and I haven't even thought it all the way through.

 

Good luck, on the raptors though.

 

Because seriously, tundra velociraptors. F*ck yes.
