WhiteDwarf399
Just curious if there are ways to mod the graphics in SWTOR, like we see in other BW games -- or does the on line nature of the game prevent such?
Vindekarr
No, it's not something you should even attempt. What's more, modding an online game usualy results in harsh punishment, a permanent ban at best, and a lawsuit at worst-it's also illegal in some places. hoofhearted4
no. i actually think it looks pretty good. but since its an online game, specifically an MMO..modding it isnt going to be supported. and will most likely get you a perma-ban from Bioware/EA, which could reach to their other games as well. Did you just had a brain fart? MMO's and other online games can't ever be modded! Ever. Do it and you can't play TOR again

Disappointing, as the talent seen here, really could have added to the stock game, like it does to DAO, Skyrim, etc. Oh well.

NEVER attempt to hack/mod an MMO. EVER! Edited December 22, 2011 by hoofhearted4

You do realise if people can mod a MMO it will kill the money income of a company? who wants DLCs and expension packs when you got a huge fanbase that does even better job of releasing content and that is free too! NEVER attempt to hack/mod an MMO. EVER! I am not referring to illegal mods, but rather to the loss of what could have been had it been legal. The artists on the nexus sights have often provided what I would consider superior modifications to the stock graphics in those games. It would have nice to see such in TOR. It's not about money, it's about people hacking the game and beating everyone else. Search in the nexus for cheat mods and you can find lots. Also, it's really hard to put new models and textures in MMOs as it would cause tons of bugs. There is a host but those are the biggest two.
