Moksha8088
Is there a final quest that ends the game or is there a chance to come back and finish any remaining quests?

Maybe you are thinking of an alternate universe Fallout New Vegas.

Moraelin
Well, anyway, not only FO4 doesn't end abruptly at any point, but there's at least one line of radiant quests that only STARTS after you've finished the main quest in a certain way. Mind you, not that radiant quests are the most exciting thing, but Beth clearly intended us to play past the end of the main quest.
Levantinium
Even when you finish the main quest, you play on forever. I don't think even time and age will stop you (like it did in Fallout 2).
bmt12
It's been awhile but assuming that you were still alive weren't you able to keep playing in 3? As for 4 I don't think they even wrote a story worth ending
cossayos
Mind you, not that radiant quests are the most exciting thing, but Beth clearly intended us to play past the end of the main quest. And it's the first Beth game I feel like continuing. Even more so since I haven't even started the DLCs as of yet, with this character.
