You're `Thing`?

I game, or drive. Occasionally, take a light plane and fly around my town from the local airfield. Mostly game really :\

Knowing everything there is to know about cars, car racing, and internal combustion, and from that core, moving onto a career vehiclular engineering.

 

I've amassed a bit too, I actualy find it funny. Most people aren't that interested in what I'm interested in-engineering in the general sense, and for this reason I rarely mention my interests, but when I find a fellow car buff, the conversations are pretty funny, I was talking to a guild guy in EVE online on the weekend, in audio, and mentioned I'd been to a track day on the weekend. Five minutes later our leader walked in and we were discussing the properties and developement of the Venturi Tunnel(a device used in aero and fluid dynamics), in great detail. His response was :psyduck: It does if nothing else illustrate how one can have "a thing" and how to everyone else, it's a confusing concept, or even unintelligeable, and one that even if they could understand they wouldn't want to, but that means a lot to myself and some others, in multiple senses of the phrase.

People think I'm odd for climbing anything that looks even slightly climbable- and even weirder for climbing things without ropes; some people are either just lazy or scared of heights it seems!
