Stability issues

First off I'm not sure if this is the right place for this so I'm sorry if I put this in the wrong spot.

So for a while now I've been having some stability issues and it's causing a lot of crashes. I have a lot of mods and I know that alone can cause issues but it's getting ridiculous. I have no idea what the issue is and I'm about fed up and frustrated with the constant crashing. I use LOOT to help with my load order but that's about it as far as load order things go.

Just let me know what info is needed and I'll post it.

OMG I am a moron. Skyrim, the game is Skyrim. Wow I feel dumb. lol

 

Um is there an easy way to post what mods I have or am I going to have to type them out one by one?

I've moved this topic to the Skyrim mod troubleshooting forum.

 

With Nexus Mod Manager, the easiest way to post your load order is to click the export to clipboard button on your plugins tab and then "paste" them into your post.

have you considered using usleep? i wouldn't use grassclippingfix.esp. realisticwatertwo.esp should be loaded pretty much as late as possible. it might be a good idea to go through and update some mods. the problem with trusting loot to order your mods is that it will put some of them in the wrong order. it's best if you can look at the records yourself and manually order them.

I have no idea how to tell what goes where when ordering mods. What should I look for to figure out how to do that?

Are you familiar with Tes5Edit? Have you cleaned your masters?

Yes. I have cleaned my masters.

Most of my crashes happen in the northern parts of skyrim and in some dungeons. I get them in other areas but not as much. I don't know if that helps but figured I'd put that out there.

well the best way to sort load order for me is to check the game records in tes5edit for conflicts. if you load all your plugins in tes5edit, you can right-click in the left side and hit 'apply filter'. you uncheck... i think the first and fourth boxes in the upper-left of the dialogue that comes up. if you read them it makes sense since they deal with no conflict stuff. you apply the filter and all your conflicts will be color-coded. from there you can look through your conflicting records to see if you need to make patches or reorder your mods.

 

also there's a topic in the skyrim technical support forum called 'only you can prevent forest fires'. i pretty much went by the general ordering advice in there, then sorted manually as i needed to. if i ran loot right now without explicitly adding metadata for nearly everything, it would destroy my stability. also, the way i describe will clue you in to plugins you might need to do away with because some DO just bork your entire game.
