Making assets used in a mod scrappable

greekrage

Hey all...

A newbie question but something i havent had a need to explore until now.

recently i had several users asking why my mods contain so many UN-scrappable objects etc..

I explain to them that a lot of stuff is edited and renamed with a new Form ID and that their scrapping mods wont be able to detect these objects etc...

Question :

Is there a specific keyword that allows scraping because i look at a vanilla asset that is scappable and see no keywords attached to it...

omg!!ÃÃÂ ÃÃÂ really??

ÃÃÂ

damnÃÃÂ iÃÃÂ wouldÃÃÂ haveÃÃÂ toÃÃÂ makes 100sÃÃÂ ofÃÃÂ thoseÃÃÂ forÃÃÂ aÃÃÂ singleÃÃÂ mod...screwÃÃÂ it...letÃÃÂ themÃÃÂ useÃÃÂ disableÃÃÂ inÃÃÂ theÃÃÂ console...:P

Doesn't doing that leave crap throughout your files and various issues?

Just give them all crappy generic recipes as placeholders. Everything is now cloth.

Also, Nexus. What in the ever loving f*#@ is going on with your quotes on mobile?!

An alternative is to make the unscrap'able items stacked (I forget the keyword), so that if one scraps the attached scrap'able item, the stacked items disappear also. It's kind of a lame way to do it, and no materials are collected from the stacked objects, but it's an option.

You'd have to make it *really* clear that scrapping Object X will make all sorts of other stuff go Bye Bye.

Heh, duplicate a book and edit the cover texture in GIMP to read "scrap this to make everything disappear". =P

Trying to remember the keywords (one for the "bottom" object and one for the "top" objects)...worse comes to worst, look at the crate stacks at Abernathy farm (or the shacks at Open Stands, I got a bit lazy toward the end of that thing, heh...it was just a companion to the guide anyhow).

Nexus mobile does something weird with double spaces (php issue? I think we're using php...? ).

...and for whatever reason, Greekrage always doubles the spaces. Maybe the double spaces is a keyboard issue on Greek's side?
