Xeniorn
@freddy: Accordion! I so enjoy the sound of that instrument. :P I've had a year-year-and-a-half of lessons in a music school when I was in elementary school but I didn't have the patience for it and learned only the basics of the basics (how to hold your hands and to read sheet music), but a year-and-a-half ago (many things in my life happen on the year-and-a-half basis :D ) I suddenly got the inspiration to play again, and starting with the simplest of compositions moving over things like Beethoven's Moonshine sonata, to achieve my current degree of skillfulness that I think is quite high. I can now play several well-known compositions that can be considered as real piano music and not the "practice music". My interest and inspiration have yet to show signs of diminishing so I believe I'll get even more proficient as time passes.

LordNyghthawk
Tried for drum in 5th grade (*waaaay back in the early 80s*) but you had to be 6th grade for that, and the only thing left was French Horn. Had zero interest in that, and just never got into wanting to perform music after that.

Chesto
Been scratching away at the folk fiddle for longer than most who have heard me play could desire. Played Bass Trombone in school orchestra, then in trad-jazz band , then RnB band a la Sam and Dave backing group ( I wasn't in that - I wish!) Then played drums- jazz kit in a 'cool' jazz group, a la Dave Brubeck. Have constructed, and played after a fashion, various world music percussion instruments after being jump started by listening to Taj Mahal. Had a go at the Scottish Bag Pipes, but couldn't afford to buy my own. Would have liked to play Northumbrian, and Ullian ( sp?) pipes, and Breton, and Basque and.... But the fiddle remains the constant.

Guest
I have been playing bass for nearly 8 years. Also made some short excursions to trumpet and piano, but nothing's as groovy as my bass :)
