Hello, I'll just pass by because I do like mods that bring back some of the old fallout content.

 

I care to mention many of the weapons on your list have already been made, contact the authors and/or use them on your pack, you will save much time and work! (the 223 pistol has been done like 3 times already, for example)

it could be a good way to start saving on some work by taking a look at these ported weapons for reference or even add detail to them. There you have many of the old weapons.

 

 

I like the idea of replacing fallout 4's shitty weapons that make no sense on lore whatsoever.

God, i love both the M4 and the Mini-14... Kinda can't stand that vanilla "assault rifle/Lewis/Machine gun thing" in F4...

 

Could i suggest two lore-friendly guns such as the HK G11 and the Steyr Aug?

 

G11? I'm sorry, but that gun didn't even come out of the prototype phase, even though they tried to fit it in the ACR program in 1990. And they are still trying to develop a working, reliable prototype for caseless ammunition. I mean, you could argue LSAT have, but we are still years away.

I'd say that a HK21 would be more lore friendly to this time period.

 

The Aug, would be a good choice, though(they would have to decide between the A1-A2-A3 model). A good weapon based off my experience in the range

I stand corrected, I haven't played FO2, my interior gun nerd took over for a second there.

 

Anyway, G11 is a tall order regardless. Weapons in FO4 rely on customization and modularity which is the point in which the G11 suffers. It was a prototype, that means any and all kinds of changes in the weapon were final and internal, mechanism oriented. If antistar were to implement this weapon there wouldn't be a lot of room in the appearance customization realm(maybe color, scopes and maybe a foregrip) and it would need some creativity because there was never any real customization for a gun that didn't come out of the prototype phase. Additionally I quote antistar on his complaint about some of the vanilla weapons:

This is my issue with the weapon, I'm not bashing your idea because I don't like the weapon(which I do, the concept of the caseless ammo is thoroughly amusing). It's just that it isn't convincing as a real day-to-day weapon, which is, I think, the purpose of the mod.

Here's some more progress:

 

- AR-15 20

- AR-15 21

- AR-15 22

- AR-15 23

- AR-15 24

 

The last muzzle attachment that needed doing was the suppressor - and there it is. Mesh and textures by ImBrokeRU, with some minor changes by me as usual.

 

Taking the place of the Assault Rifle's "short" and "medium" scope is an Elcan C79. Mesh and textures by raynox3d, with some edits by me as usual. (Actually I changed the rubber shroud part of the texture completely.) I'm going to try giving the "long" scope a different - much bigger - model. Working on that right now.

 

The vanilla Assault Rifle has "dot" and "circle" variants of its reflex sight, but they look the same. In WARS, the "circle" sight is replaced by an EOTech holographic sight, and the "dot" sight is replaced by this C-More reflex sight. Mesh and textures by Odec3D, with some some edits by tigg - and by me of course, as usual.
