Veerdash
Okay, so today, I just got Skyrim installed, and I already had 2.6GB of mods prepared to be installed. So, I tested out the game, and it worked fine, and then I tried to install a few texture mods that I had been wanting to try out, like the Skyrim HD 2K Texture mod, and when I went into the Data folder there was only a file named "Textures.bsa," but there was no Texture folder to place the files in. I looked around online and someone said to make a Texture folder and to place the Texture.bsa file into the newly made Texture folder. I tried this, and, when I started up Skyrim, everything was gray, there were no textures whatsoever, so I had to go move it back to where it had been with the rest of the .bsa files Is there any way to install the mods now? And, if there is, someone please give me as detailed of an explanation as you can. Thanks to those that try to help!

Thanks to those that try to help! the textures.bsa is a Bethesda file that gets installed with Skyrim. You need to have a textures folder INSIDE the Data folderIf you're installing the texture mods with Nexus Mod Manager, then the textures are getting extracted to the right place. FavoredSoul
i.e., leave the textures.bsa file where it is. Moving core data files in a games installation folder will break a game because the game can no longer find them. Veerdash
No one had actually told me to do that, but I found someone who posted an answer on Y!A saying that they had done that and it had worked, so I figured it was worth a try, I had already saved a backup of the Data folder incase anything went wrong though. And how do I install them with the Nexus Mod Manager? I've never used it before and it seems a little different than the OBMM and the FOMM, and I haven't played either of those two games in months, so I'm a bit rusty when it comes to getting all of this stuff to work. (I did have the Texture folder that I made inside the Data folder, I had remembered at least that much from Fallout 3 and Oblivion, they mods just didn't seem to work though.) I believe Nexus Mod Manager is made by the same person who made FOMM?If you downloaded them with NMM, then it's just a mater of activating the mod, if not, then you can download the mod manager, then once it's installed and set up (DO NOT POINT NMM AT THE SAME MOD FOLDERS YOU HAVE FOR FOMM, OBMM ETC, because they will ALL crash)then just do the "Add mod from FIle" on the mod tab, browse for the Texture.7z, which should have the directory structure set up correctly, and it should add it to the mod list so you can click on "Install"
