Umbra fail

One thing that could easily be done in the game is kill Umbra when your like level 10 and steal her Ebony armor and possibly the best weapon in the game. When I experienced that I was kinda sad in the inside. I had almost the best weapon in game and could not find a better weapon. There is better armor in game, but having that good of armor in the start of the game just seemed like trying to make a better character was just a waste of time.

 

What are your thoughts on this cave dwelling "Umbra"?

I wouldn't call her easy at low levels, unless you do something cheap like stand on top of the pillars and pelt her with arrows. ;) Anyway, if you do manage to beat her, the armour and weapons are a little overpowered for low levels.

 

Still, it wouldn't call her gear end-game equipment. Ebony armour is beaten by Daedric and while the weapon Umbra has the highest base damage of any sword in the game, its lack of a damage enchantment means it won't do as much damage as many of the enchanted ones.

Plus, at level ten, most people won't have the repair skill needed to fix Umbra in the field. Edited January 3, 2012 by Rennn

Is this the dungeon near where your character first starts off from? Ive never been able to find it in all my years playing!
