Problem with TES5Edit

Like Kroekr said, an uninstall does not completely remove all files. Having it in a different directory will prevent it from using your old Data files if there are any left, but you should check both your Skyrim folder in My Docs and your AppData folder to make sure everything is deleted there. The game will generate new files in both of those folders when you run it.

I have reinstalled game (after removing all files), I have done everything I can possibly think of, it still says :Fatal: Could not open registry key:\SOFTWARE\Bethesda\Softworks\Skyrim\ This can happen after Steam updates, run game's launcher to restore registry settings.
