FPS-Performance issue

Hi all.

I have an ASUS G74sx gaming laptop that I bought back in June. http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Gaming_Powerhouse/G74SX/#specifications

-8G ram

-1TB HD

-nVidia GeForce 560m--2gig

-intel core i7 2630 QM CPU 2.00GHz 2.00 GHz

I've had my game run at acceptable standards a couple of days ago but I know my PC is capable of pushing 40-50 FPS range. However, I'm getting 20-25 average. That's pretty ugly you can imagine. I had the Post Process Injector working beautifully for a time, the HD mod, hd cloths, hair, weapons, you name it. Yet I digress...

I've been experimenting with mod's with marginal success. I will probably abandon it altogether if I can't tackle my FPS issue.

I've done everything from putting the game settings on low to ultra and it's almost the same.

Also, I have changed my GPU settings to any combination possible and I do notice changes, but they still suck.

I am probably going to re-install Skyrim but before I do (or after I do), is there any advice you could give a novice prior to un-installing. Any advice post installation (assuming I may re-install)?

Thank's in advance!

I have 8G ram. I know the game only excepts 2G but I can't find the 4G patch ANYWHERE. What do I do?!?! Anyone have a mirror for the 4G?

The latest patch (1.3.10 I believe) has a 4GB enabler in it. Just update it.

Try "Skyrim Acceleration Layer" for SKSE for a frame boost. Also be sure to turn off any other background processes while playing. Also, the new beta patch for NVIDIA (patch 290 I think) has added support to help Skyrim run smoother.
