NCRForever
I've removed or hidden most of my files after a little situation here at the Nexus after the release of SkyrimSE. Prior to that, I removed them from the Bethesda site. Doesn't look good. But, things are just falling apart everywhere.
damanding
The trend of mods disappearing is why I've been downloading and keeping backups of everything I like for the last 6 months now. I even have cloud backups of some of them.
genolune
That is sad. That is very unfortunate for the legitimate users. Me personally, if mine get stolen, oh well. I'm not supporting stolen files so I won't respond to messages, but I'm not going to punish everyone else by hiding or removing my stuff.
NCRForever
With Bethesda, it was about being attacked over not making my mods available for consoles. Here on the Nexus, it was about staff allowing SOME people to ACTUALLY steal other people's work while NOT giving credit and banning others, or threatening to ban them, even though THOSE people gave credit where it was due. Where in the first case, they didn't. Reporting the mods got no where. To me that says something.
crawe1x
I keep hearing that Beth.net has gotten its act together since the launch, etc. Maybe that's so (I wouldn't know because I don't use the site), but either way it seems to have had a very negative effect on F04 modding, which is a real shame. I think the timing was pretty terrible as well. It seems to have happened just as a lot of mod authors were getting into their stride.
MunkySpunk
I use a manual download for everything and then install from a local drive with NMM. I still have most of the mods I've ver downloaded. Bethesda is getting free advertising, expansions, testing, and can even wash their hands of something goes wrong with a mod.. you'd think they'd spend a little time to secure modder property. You'd think this site would give some priority to the modders who attract clicks and advertising dollars and protect them too. You'd think.
