ALittleBird
I saw Legion Mages in the opening sequence of the game, wearing red robes. Where the hell have they or their robes gone?
Korodic
yep, come to think of it, I never saw them again either haha. You might be able to find that clothing in the testing hall, but if I remember right they didn't have special robes, just a hood on top of their armor. They really should have had imperial battle mages in the fort battles, that is a good leverage/reason to side with the legion over the stormcloaks. I don't see why they didn't include that? Dambuster
Lack of time and balance issues they've obviously tried fairly hard to make the decision between Stormcloak and Imperial a fairly even one if the legion had mages it might sway it for many people. They could of course have countered it with something but then that would have been a lot of work eh?

I think they just wanted the armies to be conventional armies.
Matth85
I don't know, they could have just given the Stormcloaks hedge-mages.Stormcloak are mainly Nords.Nords mainly hate magic.See the problem? And I agree to what's been said: It would both make people go to the Imperial because they had mages, and they had some real problems with their deadline. No its just a Priest of the Nine Divines not a Legion mage. :)
JanusForbeare
With the fall of the mages' guild, the Legion's traditional pool of magic users has probably been drastically reduced. There's the Synod, yeah, but they're few in number, and being helpful doesn't really seem to be their M.O. I suspect that what few mages still serve in the legion are positioned along the border with the Aldmeri dominion, and can't be spared for what is, after all, a relatively minor skirmish in the grand scheme of things. Hungover1
the mages at the start that shoot firebolts are just wearing the imerial light armor and a normal hood.there are also stormcloak mages but u have to use the console to see them as for some reason there is none in the world ....i have made some wars btw empire mages who only use fire vs stormcloak mages that only use frost, almost always the empire beats thhose dumb stormcloaksplayer.placeatme 4622A for imperial wizards or 4622b for stormcloak mages Edited January 3, 2012 by Hungover1
