Best Mage Equipment

Chuzzz

Recommended Posts

Using the Archmage's Robes, Savos Aren's Amulet, some Glass +25 Magicka Gauntlets, Hide Boots of Hauling, Ring of Major Destruction and Nahkriin.

Any particular thing I can improve on there, I supose I could use some proper Magicka boots, rather than the Hauling ones, which aren't really necessary :P

Also from a spell point of view I'm using Incinerate and Icy Spear. I've got Blizzard, Fire Storm and Lightning Storm, all of which do great damage, but don't "shoot" at targets and have to "charge up" which I hate

Any other spells or staffs too?

Bump!

Don't bump, especially when your post is still on the front page. EDIT: Especially twice. Thats just silly.

If you feel like modding, Mida Magic has some pretty cool stuff for high-level players.

Sorry, used to being on the EA forums where after 30 seconds, your topic gets swamped by others

Does heavy armor give mages any mentionable downside?

If not:

Deadra Heavy Armor enchantet with 2x -25% of your 2 most used magic schools and a ring + amulett with the same enchants.

done.

If you dont want Heavy Armor take Dragonbone.

The other parts of your gear can be enchantet to your liking.

Of course you need smithing and enchanting at 100 for it. And it breaks the game (At least the Vanilla game).

For the love of god, don't start enchanting your gear to get 100% mana reduction cost on destruction and X school. You might aswell, if you are on the pc, grab the console and "kill" everything you see. A mage is not fun if you don't need to think magicka.

I would recommend enchanting a set with Magicka regneration, and perhaps 1 or 2 enchant to get 25% - 50% less cost. Just to make your mana last longer, but not infinite.

I'd prefer to use light armour form a mage point of view, I use the Daedric stuff when I want to use Melee.

Seems I'll just have to enchant things :P

How does it crash the game?
