Help with mod organizer mod order please! Maybe link me a guide?

I am not sure in which order I should place these. The ones that have no lightning symbol are moved away from the ones that do, since they dont override anything then it's just plugin order rather than mod order (right?).

Any suggestions or links to guides where I can find a proper order or guidelines?

i say use LOOT. but the simplest way to order your mods is based on importance.

so mods you dont want overwritten should be near the bottom. you should also remember that certain mods do not affect others. so an armor mod shouldnt affect a floral mod, as such the placement of these two mods doesnt really matter in relation to the other. also be aware that some mods also use similar file names as such you dont want to overwrite an armor mods texture files with another separate armor mod altogether as that will obviously cause issues.

so the easiest way to dictate load order is to look at what mods are connected together and organize them according to the order they should be in and simply ignore the rest of the mods for now. do this for each group of mods and you're good to go.

yeah i noticed it wasnt the whole list, i dont use MO so i dont really know how i can help with anything there. i can say though that the best load order placement is done by simply deciding which mods you want over others.

To piggyback on to this (don't mean to hijack), I agree LOOT is awesome... no... completely necessary... for plugins, but I see a few things in your mod installation list. For example, Papyrus Util should be way at the top right after SKSE. Also, Clothing and clutter fixes, WAF, &CCOR look like potential issues in the mod order that should be way higher order (not plugin load order)- also the trueweapons add-on that should be way down low near the bash patch prior to running it I don't see. I'd recommend using STEP as it's written specifically with Mod Organizer in mind. I started with them and learned more than I ever thought I would. They also have helped Gamer Poets get started and he did their video tutorials, and he swears by them too. I don't know if you know GP, but most folks consider him as more of an advanced teacher after Gopher. Try the link and I think you'll be impressed (almost overwhelmed) at the amount of highly organized information available. It intimidated me at first. Hope this is what you're looking for: a mod guide and video tutorials for same all built around teaching as deep as one wants to go specifically for Mod Organizer.

STEP Mod Guide

Note: Step 2 about halfway down the page is where mod installation sections start.

That's what I thought. The game is pretty damn stable now. My latest crash was a bad overclock. lol

My method choosing what are the "base" mods then going through each one, checking which other mod it overwrites or is overwritten by and choosing which one I want.

The thing is, that I thought I might be making errors, but since th game is pretty crash free at the moment, I should be fine, I thnk.

Thanks for the post. I will look through that. It may help me have much more confidence in my current load order.

+1 on gamerpoets

But the papyrus utility should actually go at the bottom of your left pane. Its scripts should overwrite everything as they contain the latest files.

Heres a detailed guide on MO.

MO has two panes...right pane and left pane.

Right pane is plugins, left pane is mods.

With MO you control what overwrites what such as textures by simply dragging and dropping in the left pane. Its one of the MANY amazing benefits of MO. The order in which you actually install a mod doesnt matter since overwrites are so easily controlled.

The STEP guides and mod authors instructions will be and should be a great reference and what you use to determine what overwrites what. Sometimes it comes to down to personal preference as well.

For example you want MOST of texture A so texture A is below texture B.

Dont need to use STEP.

I prefer NMM but not because MO is bad. I think both are good and anyone one uping them by users is the equivalent to saying CoD is better then BF. It's not true it is just preference.

I know how MO works but i dont give advice on it as i dont use it. I will leave that to people who actually it.

Thanks anyways.
