The Psijic Order used the powerful but naive dragonborn to obtain the Eye of Magnus.

I had fun completing the college of winterhold quests but I couldn't help but feel used after the grand Psijic Order told me that they would be taking the Eye of Magnus because my world was not ready for it. Really? The only reason the Eye of Magnus caused problems was because Ancano had no idea what he was doing with it. I would've preferred to keep the Eye and study it with my colleagues to learn how to use and control it's power.

What do you people think?

The Psijic monks said very flattering things to the dragonborn, boosting his ego at every encounter, and privately laughing at how easy it was to manipulate him.

Wouldn't you do the same?

If you knew X perso could get a very important artifact. You could easily manipulate X person to get it, and then study it yourself.

That said, I believe they would get more out of the Eye than the college.

Of course I would do the same :P

But its too bad the Psijics will never share whatever they learn about that amazing artifact in this version...maybe in future expansions they will need the dragonborn's help and eventually share their knowledge and power about the artifact with him.

It does open up a chance for a DLC or expansio, just like the Civil war and the Thalmor.

It seem like Bethesda got many open ends that either needs to be modded in, or they actually plan to finish what they started.

Either way, I found the Psijcs order to be quite cool. But that could be because I've played a High Elf Battemage since Arena.

I agree...an expansion on the "vanished" Isle of Artaeum would be awesome. It's probably not "vanished" at all...not in the Yokuda sense, or physically wiped off the map. More like it was cloaked by magic.

The Psijic kept saying the "world wasn't ready" for the Eye. What on Nirn could be that powerful? The Elder Scrolls themselves come close. Or was that simply a convincing excuse to take it away?

It would be nice to know what plotlines they plan to bring to resolution; otherwise, I foresee a lot of conflicts between Bethesda and the modding community (at least those who don't upload their creations on Steam).

I don't trust those thieving, fortunetelling, teleporting, magic hoarders. The only reason I didn't try to fry them for stealing the shiny was because a part of me knew that they still had access to spell making alters and I would have become a stain on the floor once called dragonborn trying.

Maybe the Eye of Magnus its actually an artifact of the scope of the Heart of Lorkhan. The Psijic order may want to prevent another Tribunal/Dwemer extinction situation. Its a bit of a stretch, but maybe they didnt wanted to take part in the war for the Heart of Lorkhan, watched what happened, and now they want to act differently.

Or maybe... just maybe they're friggin bastards that dissapeard with my shiny godlike powerful ball and DIDNT TOLD ME WHAT THE FCK IT WAS DAMMIT. Heres hoping for a (proper) DLC dealing with the situation.
