Deleted1811414User
Skyrim is the culmination of Bethesda's decade long game engine investment, including newly added elements borrowed from FO3 (VATS like finishing moves) and FONV (crafting tables). I am happy with the end results. Now they need to focus on better quest lines and new locations. They are now capable of turning around a new game every two years, not five leveraging their current engine. Will they do this? I would like to see Summerset Ilse, or Valenwood as a setting. Can I have two new games within 4 years? There's no technical reason I can't as the heavy lifting is already done? Hell even the skill books are from Oblivion. Skyrim was fine, but I've gotten used to the interface and game play by playing Oblivion, FO3 and FONV and I think that's why I quickly grew tired of it. Now I just want more content! Anyone else agree?
marharth
I don't think Beth could properly manage Valenwood yet. Way beyond their ability to do the kinds of things that shows up in Valenwood. I think that the new game will come out a year after the last DLC or so. I personally prefer a new fallout with this engine over a new TES game. a7x5631
It'll be at least another 4 years. Keep in mind, Bethesda's last game was Fallout 3, not New Vegas. That was Obsidian.
Linsolv
It should also be noted, there are strong rumors that Fallout 4 is well underway. I wouldn't expect a TES 6 any time particularly soon.
VincentIcarus
I'm actually more interested in how they expand the current story with the DLC's. Maybe you can become a Jarl or even Emperer in one since you seem to be able to lead any random group you encounter in less than a (game) week. lol But, seriously, I'm hoping that the quests get a MAJOR overhaul in the upcoming DLC's. They should probably release 1 DLC per joinable faction. Like one DLC that enhances the Dark Brotherhood quests and storyline another for the Thieve's Guild etc etc.
Rennn
I'm hoping for new regions in DLC, like the Shivering Isles expansion or the Bloodmoon expansion. New areas have two things going for them; first, they're a change of pace, and second, they give modders all kinds of new vanilla models and textures to play around with. As for the next ES game, really? Skyrim's been out for all of two months, the Construction Set isn't here yet, and you're ready for the next game? Do you have Mountain Dew for blood, eat Mana to survive, and have a keyboard built into your hands? Edited January 7, 2012 by Rennn
dragonalumni
Don't expect new full sized regions in DLC. The majority of the work for this game was the graphics, as we all know the gameplay and everything else is just tweaked from other games. The only thing new is "snow and mountains". Also, remember all DLC that does have a new area is quite small. Don't expect this trend to change.

NordicMist
TES? Don't even mention that word to me anymore. Skyrim was already stale on its release day, and now it's like sauerkraut... I'd rather wait for Fallout 4 since nowadays post-nuclear simulations are obviously Bethesda's strong point
