[WIPz] Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE64)

That is on PC Gamer. Behippo said "Tentatively expect a beta in mid-March 2017."

Anyone expecting a sentence like that to be definite in any way, is only setting themselves up for a disappointment.

Regarding Ilja -

He's indeed a well-known and respected figure around the Oldrim / SE discussion boards on Steam. He spends a lot of time helping other users solve problems with their installations (be they Bethesda or user inflicted), and has a considerable amount of knowledge and experience with most modding tools.

Unfortunately his English is imperfect (he's not a native speaker), and his technical knowledge isn't anywhere near "developer" level. When he says "SKSE64 should be out end of this month", he's simply attempting to portray what's written on Silverlock - he doesn't have any secret insider knowledge, and he's not trying to pretend otherwise.

There is surely nothing wrong with inquiring if everything is okay. That being said, the silverlock team doesn't owe us a word.

Let's calm down, everyone, and give these guys a little credit. They have consistently demonstrated themselves to be professionals who would only go dark in order to make their ultimate victory that much sweeter. If by chance they do run into any show stoppers, I'm sure we'll be given the news in due time.

Due time, meaning later.

Also sometimes referred to as, 'Not now.'

Actions over words, while some people like Gopher put their backs into their work trying help people, produce information, improve the gaming community by actually presenting some high quality content, some other guy with a 6 level steam account and some useless guides created by bits and pieces gathered from the already popular guides and which got maximum 25 rate-ups shouldn't get the credit and is not well-respected in my eye, nobody even knows and cares.

Also, for the most of us English is a second or a third language, so I don't know why did you brought that up, that isn't an excuse to spread baseless rumors over a 6 level steam accounts' random comment.

It is okay to be grateful and ask people not to go harsh on skse developers. But by announcing SKSE64, they took responsibility. Not trying to complain or something but if they are not going to release it, someone else will. Doesn't matter if it is ''estimated'' or not, when you declare a release date, you should at least tell people why you didn't release it after that date has passed. I mean c'mon, it is not like they're afraid of community reaction or ashamed of this situation, and they shouldn't since we're not going to bury them in negative reactions or something either. We will support them no matter, but first things first, we need information we can act based on.

Er, good for you. I simply saw some confusion as to whether he'd have any insider information or not, and decided to clarify - he doesn't, and he isn't trying to pretend otherwise.

As a lot of users have been helped by Ilja, it's not uncommon to see his word taken as gospel. I'm hence not at all surprised that Zeridian would've linked to one of his quotes.
