Question regarding use of mods on Youtube videos.

So I'm in the middle of planning out a machinima of sorts and was wondering if I need to ask permission to every single author of the mod I'm using or should I just credit them along with links to their mods? Thanks in advance.

I don't believe you have to ask permission to use a mod while filming your gameplay for a machinima. It would certainly be polite of you, but I don't think it's necessary. The most likely response you'll get from them is "Well, of course. But I'd appreciate it if you put my mod and my name in your credits."

It's worth putting links in anyway because people will no doubt ask what mods you're using.

True, that. Saves folk's time looking for the mods and saves you from having lots of extra questions in your inbox.

would it be just as good giving them a link to a listing to all the mods with the links that you are using?

(only ask because i plain on doing something simmer on a new ch im working on making... but trying to find easyer ways to get things done faster. in my case i am around the max of mods i will be using..)
