TyphosTheD
I've watched a couple of videos on and read the readme for the installation and use of Wyre Bash, but didn't see the answer to the question I have. Namely, nearly every mod asks that I reorder where the DLCs should be loaded. Whether it be Dragonborn before Dawnguard, Hearthfire before the two, etc, or even some mods loaded before the DLCs!? If this can really cause conflicts to the game, how do you manage this clearly counteractive request by Wyre Bash?
iXenite
No mods should ever ask to be loaded before any of the Master Files. Use LOOT to sort your load order if you're confused about it. LOOT:https://loot.github.io/
Kroekr
No mods should ever ask to be loaded before any of the Master Files. Use LOOT to sort your load order if you're confused about it. LOOT:https://loot.github.io/I think you misunderstood the question. Wrye Bash is telling him his mods have their masters listed out of order in the mods themselves (Dragonborn before Dawnguard is the one I see most often). TyphosTheD - I read somewhere, possibly Wrye Bash help page, that it could cause problems. If you load the mod indicated by Wrye Bash to have out of order masters in TesVEdit, then after it loads right click the mod and select Sort Masters. Save the mod and Wrye Bash will be happy. cdcooley
The correct load order is always Skyrim, Update, Dawnguard, Hearthfires, Dragonborn, then any mods (starting with the unofficial patch). Any mod that has them in some other order was created by someone who didn't know how to set the order correctly in the Creation Kit. (It's not obvious and works differently than the game itself, so don't think too badly of them.) It's highly unlikely the mod actually needs those DLC to be in the other order. My advice would just be to ignore the warning you're getting from Wrye Bash related out of order DLCs. Or as Kroekr said you can load the mod in TESVEdit and use its Sort Masters feature to keep Wrye Bash happy.
PeterMartyr
Every mod as a Header were it master & their order is listed, this dictated by Masters Time Stamp as loaded by Creation Kit, not a major issues since the game will dynamic load every thing in the correct order & can be ignored. If your fussy fix with xEdit, immediate close & save after sorting, no extra edits ok. So Wrye is complaining a list in the mod header that is ignored by the Game is in the wrong Order. Have I made a mistake in my description? Ps It pisses me off to no end & I always end up sorting the masters with xEdit. So I agree with cdcooley that it can be ignored, but I don't.
cdcooley
Wrye Bash warns you because for things other than the DLCs it really can be a problem. And until Skyrim the game and the CK used the same load order scheme (timestamps) so we never had this problem of mismatches. It's just one of those quirks we have to live with now.
