Kodiak412
Just be aware that sometimes resurrecting an NPC will bring them back to the game world but some people report, and I have had it happen to me, that the resurrected NPC can lose some functionality. I bring this up because depending on what path you take Sturges could have some major play and dialog late in the game. If this gets broken by the resurrect command it could be headaches quite late in the game. As always the best thing to do is to back to a previous save before he got killed and go from there. Good luck.

Good luck.yes previous versions of fallout had a read only variable that recorded the NPC has died. so once dead scripts would start failing
Perraine
AFAIK Sturgess shouldn't be able to die. I thought we was set as essential because he is one of the possible "required NPC's" for the main quest to complete. I know they made Marcy and Jun expendable, but not Stugess and not Presto Gravy either I didn't think (for similar reasons) ... Unless someone made a mod to remove the essential tag, in which case - you reap what you sow. And yes, "resurrect" can be problematic, some NPC's will rest themselves after a while, but if a main NPC character gets flagged as dead by the game, it can really screw things up ... Had somewhat of an issue with Skyrim because of that. Adrianne (the blacksmith in Whiterun) got killed by a random Vampire Spawn before I could complete a quest involving her (her body appeared in the burial chamber) and because of that "resurrect" wouldn't work, because she just stood there like a mannequin, it also meant that the Blacksmith "store" in Whiterun was pretty much a right-off after that' coz her husband was almost never there. grandamle91
He was definitely dead. Don't know about he's clothes. Found him that way when I got the quest to build the institute transportation
TheGadget1945
He probably died during a heavy lovemaking session with Mama Murphy.
