The trivari-human hybrid, humavari, woman came into view looking almost human and if she would have been human she would have been identical to Sonya01A01. In her arms she was holding a big adorable ginger metacat, the feline having found what she was after.

 

Reshintala, follower of the trivari faction known as the Sibiblis, was but one of a few trivari silvervari hybrids, and others, that had come with the trivari taskforce, on that other alternate Earth, centuries ago.

 

Reshintala spoke to Scullie and Muldor. “Trivari, of this alternate universe, have contacted us. They have promised assistance but it will be difficult to give any given the obstacles of a worldtribubble, the Skynet and the Skylanders. They are also relatively weaker than the trivari, of our home alternate, and the Greyyari greynari here are darker, more aggressive and more powerful than the Greyyari greytashi of our alternate universe. The good news is that they have strong allies in this alternate and are making more such as the Peoples Lunar Collective, the PLC.”

 

Reshintala changed subject. “It is time that I met Sonya01A01.”

 

A soft sparkling shimmering shivering went through everybody and everything of the Metacube and in the Metacube.

Josie11K22 sat ensconced in her command position. She was studying the newly finished metaform pattern on one wall of that chamber even as clues were added to it and the pattern was changing; the Metacube itself was doing the changes.

 

“We have always been told '13x13' and it now turns out that the variations of that are code clues.” Male Jasid11O11 spoke out as lead decoder. “New Metavault areas have become visible on the holographic maps even as secret entrance walls have dematerialised to reveal doors to those areas. First find is a network of 13 big autorobotic warehouse chambers full of metatech, VaultTech, and other equipment-supplies including some surprising choices. Nine are Wastelands lotech, midtech and hitech including VaultTech stuff. Three are metatech. One is more exotic types of tech equipment-supplies. As a supposed bonus there are 100,000 one litre boxcans of something called CRAM, cloneprocessed reprocessed augmented meat, so I hope it tastes at least reasonable.”

 

Josie11K22: “I am sure we can do something to improve the flavour, if we have to do so. Anything there to help with the AzaShadow?”

 

Jasid11011: “Specialised xolasers, neoflamers, adapted EMPguns and ultra high voltage electric weapons are all there that do extra damage to the AzaShadow, its AzaShadowlings of lesser formations, and its followers-minions.”

 

Josie11K22: “Now that we have made a formal alliance with Hivequato619, and its allies from their home world, we need to send them resources. They will send us exotic resources in turn.”

 

She changed tact: “With the arrival, into the Metacube, of the cube with the naked woman who could be Sonya01A01's identical twin; the transparent cube needs to be kept tightly observed and secure from unwanted outside interference; I doubt we could stop it if it wants to leave.”

 

Metacompnet: “A new set of thirteen chambers have been found being each filled with 100 cyberlink remote reach capsulechairs. Nine are for basic remotes, three for more sophisticated remoterobots and one is for very sophisticated units. Tech teams are already making assessments of the subcomplex.”

Jasid11011: “One of the horizontal elevator blastdoors has been unlocked and opened. A taskteam has entered a subvault in levels below those previously accessed. It appears to be large a general purpose area but also a transport hub. The elevator only travels down as far as three different levels of that subvault. The subvault is a standard VaultTech one except with monorail tunnels, in theory, leading to other subvaults and areas between them; except that, for the moment, the subvault is sealed up.”

 

A male defence security officer spoke.

 

Hanns42K20: “Metafolk reinforcements had joined defensive hivevaca alliance units in the the big transdimensional gate domechamber. Refugees are still steadily coming through the gateway including military units. Word has come of three great monsters, each being an Azagod in its own right; that is they are three of the nine baseline Azagods of the Azagods13. Security screening, so far, has caught out eighteen enemy infiltrators.”

 

Josie11K22: “Yes, that goes with the AzaShadow and AzaSwarm being two of the three secondary Azagods, the third being the AzaStorm. The great monsters are?”

 

Hanns42K20: “AzaTentacala, AzaDragana and AzaGozillus. There are, also of the baseline nine, three 13s of not as big monsters; they are AzaFierier, AzaInsectoro and AzaGonvala. Then there are three forces of 13x13(169), that are of more specialised exotic kinds being AzaPsycharis, AzaTecharis and AzaOrganaris.”

 

Hanns42K20: “The most mysterious is the one at the top that is often called the AzaAzrarzaAza; it is said that this entity-entities is the real key to the mystery of the existence of the Azagods. The AzaAzrarzaAza is said to be one entity as thirteen sub-entities. Such information was provided to us by offworld refugees through the hivevaca alliance.”

 

Jasid11011: “At least we have some clarification of what is taking place.”

 

Jasid11011: “A transparent cube has materialised inside the medical ward room with Sonya01A01. It has a naked young woman inside it that looks identical to Sonya01A01 herself. It is identical to the one that she saw in her visioning dreams, if they were dreams.”

Josie11K22: “Yes, I see that she has sunk into a deeper sleep along with her mysterious companions of Babit99I98 and Gingi99Z99; according to our records neither is accounted for as part of our normal inflow of newcomers.”

 

Alarms began to chime but were then quickly silenced.

 

Hanns42K20: “A large force is attacking TechVault617 consisting of AzaShadow but also other elements. Defensive network-systems are actively resisting the attack.”

 

A female defence-security officer spoke.

 

Hashi06B26: “The attacking force includes large battlerobots of the legged, wheeled, tracked and hovering kinds. They are not of any type generally known to be used on this world. They have features in common with each other and probably use of many of the same kinds of components.”

 

Hanns42K20: “This is a major assault taking place against TechVault617.”

 

Josie11K22: “Defensive efforts have already blunted the initial enemy attack. We must make sure that this is not a decoying attempt or an attempt to draw us out through over confidence.”

 

It turned out to be quite the opposite as the attack became more savage and was joined by large attacks taking place at two other outer points of TechVault617.

Radhorse riding cattleherders guided a herd of radcattle into a big cattle yard on the landward side of RivetCity. The radcattle would mostly provide milk, there being far many bigger udder cows than bulls. The milk would be processed into skim milk, cream, cheese, yogurt and butter for the growing RivetCity population. Silvia Suntanna was aware of them not because she could see them but, with her enhanced android senses, she could smell and hear them. For she was looking outwards, over the big wide river, and the ship she stood on was between herself and the radcattle activity.

 

A big battlecarrier, a ocean liner, a large submarine, a cargo vessel, a big luxury private supercabincruiser and other such craft were the basis for the settlement along with jetty and land based structures. It was said there was a LifeVault beneath the museum proper being one of VaultTech's smaller, shallower buried, secondary shelter complexes. One former containership, a big standardised container carrying freighter, had been stripped of many containers long looted and turned into buildings or sections of structures. The 'land reach' part of RivetCity stretched onto the land but was still old museum grounds, and buildings, restructured and fortified.

 

Everything was heavily fortified, secured, not just against such as armour-armed humans or monsters but also against savage storms and other threats. The bigger that RivetCity got, the more secure it became, but the more attractive a target it became. This was true of any Wastelands settlement.

 

The young, slimly voluptuous-muscular, woman stood in tough casual gear on a deck of the battlecarrier close to where two body-armoured militia guards stood at a semienclosed deckgun. They knew who she was, or at least assumed that they did, but were too intent on looking out for any possible threats to talk to her.

 

That is semienclosed with metal armour plating. One was a ghoulman for the RivetCityfolk had no time for antighoulism; it was against their philosophy of life and they needed ghoulmans for practical reasons. The same went for animans. There were very strong chimpmans, bigger but less aggressive gorillamans, extra long armed orangumans, along with less common types of the animal human hybrids.

Androids, escapees from the damned TriInstitute in the struggling Hampshire Commonwealth, came to RivetCity where they settled down secretly; very few knew who they really were. Not even the Mercantile Families, of the RivetCity Markets, were trusted but only the reclusive Captain Mystique and his people.

 

Silvia was android but of a unique kind. Silvia was a biosimulicant. Most androids were basic duplicants, then there were more sophisticated, but fewer, replicants and even far fewer, but even more refined, simulicants; her kind, of androids were even'rarer' and more sophisticated. The great majority of people did not know that such as biosimulicants existed.

 

Out there was a great big aircraft carrier, with part of it cut off and leaning away from the rest. Was it part of RivetCity? Most considered it to be a kind of misfit occupied outpost of the settlement where fringers dwelt along with ever threatening mirelurks and even river pirates. Organised salvage operations had often taken place over the years but more so scavenger activities until they were halted by the RivetCityguard posted there.

 

Silvia had discovered some surprising but very valuable information. She had to go there as soon as she could do so.

 

Silvia did not know it but she was identical to Sonya01A01 despite the other being a clone and she being an extremely sophisticated android. There was the metaclone, woman inside the moon, the EDD fighter pilot, the human hivevaca hybrid and now this one.

 

One moment the man was not there and then he was standing next to her, almost as if he had always been there. There stood, in his overcoat and fedora like some 1940s Hollywood private detective in appearance. His face was nondescript to an amazing level in that it was close to impossible to remember him unless he chose one to do so; that is with some few exceptions of which she was one.

 

He spoke to her. “Look to your own innate special powers that go beyond those of any android; that is your current shapeform. You are one of 13 that are almost one. One is inside Luna, one is in Middle Europe, two others are also in a Oklahoma but deep underground, one is at the same place, and you are one. There are also five others of the thirteen. You are expressions of identical looking women found in what appear to be transparent cubes.”

He took her hand and then, with the very slightest of shimmers, they were standing in a slanting ship's chamber with many old items gathered downwards against where the wall met the floor. This included wooden crates, canisters, and other containers. Yet, in the exact middle of the big chamber, floating upright was a transparent cube and in it was a naked woman; she could have been the android's identical twin type model.

 

Silvia looked at it in amazement, knowing 'somehow' it was no android as she was, not even a very sophisticated rare one. A soft shimmer, and glow, went through both the cube, and herself, then the Mysterious Stranger neatly caught her as she started to fall.

The potential military conflict, between the UCC and the EDD, has ceased to be a threat at least for the moment. Both fledgling superpowers have drawn back from the territories where they might meet and battle each other.

 

The SteelBrotherhood has recruited the Vipers who have become disbanded as a tribal people. It is revealed that these were but one part of a large set of Viperfolk groups. A far larger one can be found surviving in the area known as Nevada.

Skylanders have solidified their union of floating zergrav atmospheric skylands being of semienclosed-enclosed zones inside floating spheres of rock. Their are also their own artificial orbiting places, many equipped with spingravity wheels or drums. The Skylanders are building up their military and civil defensive capacities mostly out of fear of future Skynet attacks.

 

ResdevVault619 POPs are proving to be of ever increasing concern as it is becoming more evident of the strong existing link between them and the triggering of the Doomsdays. Worldnet has long computed that the Doomsdays were far more than a matter of the use of traditional, or even newer experimental, superweapons; that is there were other factors involved. The investigation continues.
