Female NPCS spawning w/o shins and spawning naked (armor in inv tho)

Like the title says...the NPCs spawn with the armor in their inventory but they don't use it.

I have no idea how to fix any of these as I'm a novice to modding. If anybody actually does help, I need the instructions to be really simplified.

You have a lot of clothing and NPC mods there, you must have some conflict going on between some of them.

 

There are mods and programs to help with the load order or to help find conflicts but others will have to offer help with those as I do not use them.

 

The best thing to do is look at what mods you installed after you noticed this and start to remove them one by one until you find the problem mod. This is tedious but this is what I do. Actually the best thing to do if you do not use load order or conflict programs is to load mods one at a time and then play a little to see if you get issues. If it looks good add another and repeat.

 

Also a good idea is to not use mods that do the same things. For example there are a number of scrap mods, but you should really only settle with one. Mods that do the same thing can be problematic together. Also read the comments section of the mod before you load it. Others may offer advice and bring up any bugs that the mod may be having. I've had it a while but only with spiked armor and only with female settlers (can't remember if any of the female NPCs suffered from the same "bug"). It's a mod conflict alright, like Kodiak412 already mentioned. I never minded because I'm using the Nude Armour mod to "clothe" all or most of my female settlers.

 

Best thing to try is re-install the couple of clothing mods you ab-so-lu-te-ly cannot live without. Do it one by one after a save in a place where you can see a bugged NPC/settler and save-reload every time you re-installed to check if anything has changed...

What does this do? If it does what I'm assuming it does and modifies "female NPC's bodies" and you have an issue with female NPC's then try disabling it.

 

I've had an issue before when I had "Orphans of the Commonwealth" installed so that it would spawn child settlers, unfortunately it didn't work properly and would spawn adults but with children's clothes which couldn't fit them so they would spawn naked but with the clothing in their inventory. I'm thinking that the mod you have there is making it so that the female NPC's aren't being recognised as cloth-able. Maybe some tags are missing or something, I've messed up the athletic outfit before so that the "" tag was removed and the Diamond City guards walk around in their underwear with the clothes in their inventory.

I think I fixed it. I ran a few tests and the armors that weren't equipping on the NPCs seem to working now (I think). I reinstalled a few mods and tinkered in FO4edit for a while. I thank you all for the help.

 

Unique Female NPC Bodies.esp (kind of) works. It changes the female NPCs of the factions, so not everybody is walking around with the same body as my character. The MA said it was a lot of work to do as you gotta mess around in Bodyslide for a while....but I did the bare minimum (maybe that's why it barely works :/)
