THEAthalius
I just posted on this same problem, only it seems to be affecting my graphics more intensely than your images indicate. I thought it was after patching to 1.9 but I could be wrong. I did my 1.8/1.9 patches back to back. Would love to know how to fix this. Framerate for me has dropped to about 16fps

Framerate for me has dropped to about 16fpsVersion 1.9 isn't a patch but the High Resolution Pack which supposedly adds nicer textures to the game. In fact, the whole thing is a dud and some textures even look worse than the original vanilla ones. Worse is that most folk's frame rates drop heavily, thanks to the -again- very bad optimisation of the textures... As far as the brightness of the lights go, I haven't got a clue as I don't know what mods you are using -if any- that alter luminescence. Personally, I haven't experienced such a thing in v1.8 of the game, which I'm still using.
THEAthalius
Well, to clarify, I didn't install the high resolution pack, just the patch/update/whateveryouchoosetocallit. Everything was peachy and running smoothly until I did those updates then suddenly every light source, whether lamps, signs, the sun, doesn't matter, all of them now have brightness turned up by a factor of 20, and I can even see visible grid lines in night skies, and some other textures. Think I am going to have to do a complete reinstall of the game, unfortunately.
KelDragonborn
Well, i've googled it and i only found a few pages, i found just one solution, reinstalling everything, but i'm looking for something else, because i don't wan't to reinstall everything again. I'll try to update back to 1.7, and see if it works. Edited February 12, 2017 by KelDragonborn
THEAthalius
Well, i've googled it and i only found a few pages, i found just one solution, reinstalling everything, but i'm looking for something else, because i don't wan't to reinstall everything again. I'll try to update back to 1.7, and see if it works. Unfortunately that was the exact conclusion I had to reach, complete wipe and reinstall. I found many suggested fixes and none of them worked. Could make it less, but colors were still all jacked up, bloom still way bright.....just overall a visual hell.
KelDragonborn
Forget, it doesn't work, even if i reinstall it. I have no clue for a fix now.
Ondrea
Put off downloading the update until today and was distressed to see everywhere I go is bright and hazy. I disabled the hi-rez pack but it didn't help. At least I see others here are having the same issue so it's not just me.
THEAthalius
I am installing on a completely virgin drive and only updating to 1.7, test everything, then update to 1.8 and see what happens. If all is good, definitely not going to update to 1.9 again. I have no desire for that HD content DLC anyway, everything I read says its pointless. Better offerings on Nexusmods, imo. *crosses fingers* *EDIT* So everything reinstalled on the new drive w/out mods, patched to 1.7, and initial tests showed no evidence of the lighting issue, textures are back to normal... Only now none of my mods will reinstall....
KelDragonborn
Ok, i updated my Windows and bought and installed a new hard drive, then i moved the game folder there and it was everything same, so i reinstalled again and it fixed. I don't know what happended, but i guess that could be some remaining files that wasn't in the main folder, i guess erasing everything about it with a specified program would work, but i'm not sure. I also updated my drivers before i moved it to the hard drive, but didn't work, or i should try to reinstall it to, anyway everything is working now.
