Vagrant0
@Vagrant0: Are you looking for premium membership or free?Free, mostly just needing somewhere for the occasional file dump and download tracking that will let me remove the file later as needed. dazzerfong
You can try Mediafire: unlimited download restrictions, only drawback is the 200mb file limit.
justwannaddl
I personally use mediafire since it has few limits besides each file being limited 200 MB. There's no wait times or limits to the number of simultaneous downloads. Unless you are uploading/downloading TV shows, movies, etc, they are pretty much the easiest to download from out of the notable free file lockers. I recall only needing an email to set up the account though that may have changes as I did so years ago. They also don't have an incentive program like MU had so at least the DoJ can't complain if that somehow becomes illegal. Like most sites though, it has its share of ads. I'd say give 4shared and Mediafire a look. Filesonic is getting popular but I never liked their popup windows. It is also less convenient for downloads. Still, it has a 400MB limit so it is better for larger files. Really though MU was the best all around.. http://www.4shared.com/faq.jsp#q9 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaFire http://www.filesonic.com/faq Edited January 22, 2012 by justwannaddl
Galejro
Personally I don't miss Megavideo. Constant file removal (pre SOPA), lame video streaming time, 75 minute blockade. Still one thing is for certain SOPA SUCKS!! that c..p will pass (in my country cause I'm Polish) over my dead, vegetarian, piracy-loving body. DarkeWolf
I happened to be a fan of megaupload. I lost a LOT of my files when they went down. (including my online copy of my resume :verymad: ) The wait time between downloads was nice, not ungodly long! and using megakey I could get premium features for free 50% of the day.the UL speeds were ok-ish, but I always got really good DL speeds from them. Not to mention that some of the mods I'd done for people are now gone too. I used them a LOT for backups, with the 1 gig upload limits I could UL people's files before formating their machine, and then let them DL it again, after the format. I for one, am shedding a tear over it, and will sorely miss them.
somerandomsheepthathops
Dumb Question I know but, so Megaupload is gone for good? Or is it going to be back up when this gets sorted out (IF it does)?

SubjectProphet
I would love to see pirates behind bars. However, SOPA won't stop them. No one will. Not unless we take down the internet. Either way, MU was a good site. Our first casualty to SOPA. I did get most of my viruses from it, but it was useful storage for text documents and sharing files.
