Concerned about mod content

i can hardly imagine how more nudity or other kinkyness enhances gameplay. beth -edit and the nexus /edit- should imho ban it.

I once roleplayed a character who wore sexy clothes because of the type of personality she had. If it weren't for modders making such mods, the character would've been a bust and not been as much fun because a part of her personality would have lacked expression. It wasn't about perversion or kinkiness - it was about the expression of a personality in a character I was playing. It was roleplaying...you know, the whole point of a role playing game to begin with.

Mods make it possible to expand the horizons on roleplay...for some sexy clothes helps that expression of personality. For others, wearing flour sacks will do the job. That's how gameplay is enhanced.

the tools bethesda gave us .....for your personal pleasure, they are given to make Skyrim a better game for the community.

Source? My definition would be the opposite - that the CK is released so people can edit and enhance the game for their own pleasure first and foremost.

the question is about responsability really i think.

modders are given the means to produce almost everything in this game.

if you mod the game to your personal desires without uploading to the public

it stays private and you can do whatever you want imho.

if you upload your mod on the net

it's a different ball game.

the tools bethesda gave us (and will hopefully give us when the CK is around) are NOT meant

for your personal pleasure, they are given to make Skyrim a better game for the community.

i can hardly imagine how more nudity or other kinkyness enhances gameplay. beth -edit : and the nexus /edit- should imho ban it.

-edit : or at least can we add a negative endorsement to such mods?/edit

... What?

What an incredibly entitled attitude.

The only reason modders do what they do is personal pleasure. They enjoy doing it. Oh, they may try to improve the game, but they do so because they want to and enjoy doing so.

NOT SURE IF TROLLING. :psyduck:

If you have found someone requesting child porn, report them. If someone posted a child porn mod, report them. The adult filter works well but nothing is perfect. If you find a mod that you think should be in the adult section, be couteous and PM the modder. If the modder doesn't respond, PM the admin.

We don't need thread complaining about child porn on this site because house rules prohibit child porn in the first place. School uniforms in and unto themselves are not child porn. If they were then Britiney Spears would be in jail for promoting them. There are filters, lists and search tools. There is no reason you cannot find what you like and leave this conversation at a site that needs it.

i can see your point of view, but where do you draw the line? or the next player that comes along? if you want to add some eros to skyrim that's fine with me, but would you share it wit the rest of the world?

i was more concerned about what you do with the game in private, and what you want to share with the world.

It's not your place to tell modders where to draw the line. As long as the content they produce is within the legal boundaries and do not violate the ToS, they have every right to upload their creations without being harassed by other members.

The emphasis is on: "as long as they are within the legal boundaries and do not violate the ToS".
