MidbossVyers
In terms of Skyrim's Sheogorath, along with Boethia (who also mastered the power of sex change from Oblivion to Skyrim), proves that Daedric princes are beyond gender. Like, for example, if you played as a female character in Oblivion, why is future you an old MAN in Skyrim?
AnimalRiot
Disappointment, you say? It's downright maddening! (see what I did there?)
DaveTheRedd
I noticed when I was basically the top man of the Mage's Guild, the Fighter's Guild, The Holy Knight, and the Champion of Cyrodill, that I could at least give some orders to the NPC's left in all of those guilds, not to mention have an Imperial Guard escort. I could not even get a follower of either guild. I did get a knight to follow me around if I wanted them to, but they charge right in and get in the way of any ranged attacks. I did the shivering isles quest after I finished the main quest, so I used that as an excuse (because apparantly I'd been driven crazy by the madgod's wierd world) to do the thieves' guild quest and the dark brotherhood quests. (I wasn't even going to do those quests, but there wasn't much in the way of action left to do.) After that I went on a killing spree of all the guards and legion personnel whenever I came across them.Oddly enough, even after killing several guards, some of them called me the champion of cyrodill.
BijutsuYoukai
Honestly, for me, the biggest disappointment at the end of the SI "main" quest was that Sheogorath is gone for good. Hands down my favorite character in all of Oblivion and probably the only reason I've kept going back to do the SI questline multiple times on different characters. But I do also see what OP is getting at with the lack of, well, circumstances, I guess? You'd think it would have a little more of an impact than it does. jamochawoke
Sheogorath has had a heavy presence in almost all of the Elder Scrolls games (look at Daggerfall and Battlespire if you don't believe me). I don't mind him taking a backseat for a while, especially for lore reasons, honestly. Although using him as the odd daedra that loved to really help, or really mess with depending on his mood, mortals was a good crutch... the other daedra haven't really been touched outside of Azura (with the Tribunal expansion for Morrowind), Hircine (with the Bloodmoon expansion for Morrowind, and his heavier presence in Skyrim due to werewolves), and of course perpetual villain Mehrunes Dagon. RazaCovek
All games leave the player hanging. You fight to the end or climb to the top only to watch the final cutscene then the game is completely over. There is nothing else to do but close out the game, uninstall it and play something else. 3rdtryguy
Are we SURE that this is the CoC Sheo and not the original, cursed again to madness?
LadyHarmony
I expected more Daedric lord-level powers. And I would like to think of SI as non-canon so the CoC isn't the Sheogorath in Skyrim, only because Bethesda didn't include Jyggalag in Skyrim or leave any indication he was still around/recognized at all. diosoth
Are we SURE that this is the CoC Sheo and not the original, cursed again to madness? He made references in Skyrim that indicate that to be the case. Which annoyed me beyond annoyed. Their clues? Saying he was in the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood. I don't play either guild and it thumbs their noses at people who played Fighters Guild or bought and played KOTN.
ChristianAlexander
DAMN, i like this discussion, its cute. Anyway, its really all about the going back and replaying where you find the loss of quality. The questlines for both sides should have been different. The last fight should have been more expansive. The overall storyline and theme for the Isles was hella cute and I thought that "MADNESS BTICHES," were fetchass like hard s***. I just thought it should have been a little more indepth, but then again so should have a majority of the game. Hated losing Sheo, Hated the British Ass Steward Hated that one guard was preffered over the other: ie. Golden Saints were dominant. I f***ing adored the Dark Seducers. I think Mania should have had golden saints Dementia should have had Dark Seducers and Sheo should have had like Elite guards, it was kindof like a lazy tiptoe for the designers. :( but loved the overall expansion.
