  1. Since I need to clarify this specific mod issue... from the mod download page- https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/28880?tab=files "Destroy the Thieves Guild BSA version" - main file "Destroy the Thieves Guild esp fix" - second file to fix bugs in the mod to make quests work Both worked fine together in my game before using LOOT. I installed Wrye Bash. I have very old save files on this playthrough. There's an option(right click) that allows you to set your current load order to what's in any specific save file chosen. Got the game to boot on first start.
  2. No, they are two separate files. In fact the thing wouldn't even work without the second file. Though it looks like LOOT is placing #2 before the initial file.
  3. I had to copy my entire game install and lost the load order since it' snot stored in the game or saves folder. I had to use LOOT to set it up and the game is insanely difficult to start up since then. It will often crash before the menu, tending to take 2-6 attempts before it will actually load to menu. I suspect LOOT did more damage than good here, the load order isn't working right. I need help fixing it. 4. This is for both Skyrim & Oblivion. I got a new Win10 PC in April & transferred everything to it. When I couldn't get my GPU working on it(NVidia's drivers are apparently a huge mess right now) I set my current Win7 PC back up and reinstalled both games to it to keep them playable in the meantime. The process both times was as such- *copy my old install folder w all mods to a backup location *copy all saves to a backup location *reinstall both games fresh *copy old install folder over that *copy save files to the Appdata folder Only in all cases I hit a snag- the load order was lost. I had to run BOSS in Oblivion then LOOT in Skyrim to get both games working.... but where is that info stored? Because it doesn't seem to be in the game folder or the save folder or it would have been retained.
  5. This is the specific card I'm using- https://www.evga.com/products/specs/gpu.aspx?pn=2af49523-559f-4b95-af14-f0c2a5d70b26 I picked it as my old Gateway Win7 PC is really cramped for space inside, this is the only 750 short enough to not overlap the RAM slots. I am going to order a different brand PIN adapter, but will also clean the current drivers & find an older download. I'm still using it in the Win7 PC with no issues. BIOS is- Brand Dell Inc. Version A18 Date 5/30/2019
  6. Interesting, I'm using 27.21.14.5730 driver for the GTX750 Ti on Windows 10 with no crashes. Are they saying the newer drivers are causing the problem? Not necessarily- the results I'm pulling vary on card brand, drivers, etc.Sometimes it happens only while running a game, others like in my case are almost instant. The drivers crash, Win10 shuts down before it can have a chance to recover. However if it is a power draw issue, I am using a 24-8 pin adapter(Dell uses an 8-pin connector), I may return the one I bought and try a different brand.
  7. I swapped in my 500W PSU at the time, an ENERMAX Tomahawk ETK500AWT, the same one I run the card on in the old PC. I have found references on Google to others having similar crashes with the very same entries in event viewer, which indicates that the graphics drivers are crashing which causes an instant shutdown because Win10 can't handle it.
  8. The basics- I purchased a refurbished Dell Optiplex 7020 with Win10 installed about 2 weeks ago. Spent time transferring my data from the old PC. Took parts out of it I wished to use in the new PC. Shutdowns began instantly, usually 30 seconds-5 minutes after booting to Windows. Ultimately determined it to be the GPU, an eVGA NVidia GTX 750 Ti SC. It's apparently a driver crashing issue, these precede the shutdowns in Event Viewer- File System Filter 'npsvctrig' (10.0, ‎2025‎-‎01‎-‎05T22:41:12.000000000Z) has successfully loaded and registered with Filter Manager. File System Filter 'FileCrypt' (10.0, ‎2002‎-‎03‎-‎01T07:12:42.000000000Z) has successfully loaded and registered with Filter Manager. I have had no shutdowns when running on the onboard Intel chip. Installing NVidia's current drivers & wiping old ones did not fix the issue. I've tried a few other fixes, nothing. I could try Win10 Debloater as some have reported success regarding this very issue but it's not 100%. Has anyone had experience with solving this problem? I prefer not to buy a new GPU right now. As it stands I will have to keep my old Win7 PC active to play Oblivion & Skyrim. The GPU is still good, working fine in the Win7 PC.
  9. Downloaded, will check out out whenever I get time to play the game again. Thanks for this
  10. Without another piece of official art with the rest of the bikini visible(which may or may not even exist, though I bet there's a stack of papers sitting in an archive somewhere, forgotten, that has more) I don't think you can really improve on this. Great job.
  11. There are a lot of bikini & bikini armor mods but I haven't found one that specifically mimics the one from Arena's box- which is surprising as that's official canon.
  12. The armor is from a mod(a variation of glass armor), Apachii Goddes Store. I opened the NIF file for the cuirass, didn't see a NiAlpha entry on it though I'm not 100% familiar with NIFSkope. The hair may be part of HOD, it's all packed in a BSA file(it's been so long isnce I installed it I don't recall if it had separate requirements). The Intel chip may have not been able to render this "properly" which could be why it was never visible.
  13. This did not happen with the old onboard Intel chip I used to play the game with so it has got be a problem with the NVidia card I put in early this year. So far I have only seen it visually affecting whatever this character wears(Katriana from "Heart Of The Dead") due to her hair. It happens at certain angles but is unpredictable, it may not happen. Looking up or down when it does can also affect it going off(seen below), and sometimes I can have a lengthy play session without seeing it once as if whatever causes it didn't load in. I don't believe any in-game setting is affecting this so I don't know if the NVidia control panel's settings can be changed. It's an annoying visual glitch but isn't otherwise breaking anything.
  14. Bethesda promised SE would run LE mods, then changed their minds on release. Since then the modding community largely jumped ship. I think you can only even buy LE now through Humble Bundle and it still requires Steam to play it(despite Steam delisting it on their own store)- or not since going to the game's page there kicks to the main store page. The only new mods I even look at are on here, since anything covered on Youtube is 99% guaranteed to be SE only. The only option I have to play SE is either a new PC, or to swap the motherboard for one that can take a better CPU- which will probably mean a lot of other component replacements if anything I have isn't compatible. The E8600 is specced too low for SE despite all my other hardware being more than adequate, so it will either not run at all or somehow be a sluggish mess not worth the trouble. I can't get anything better. I already spent $150 on upgrading my old PC back in December but I don't have a further budget for more.
  15. My hopes for Betehsda's modding community were already low to begin with- seeing SE backpedal on LE mod compatibility, seeing all Creation Club mods declared "official lore", it looked like they- if the game was ever due to be finished- would probably only allow "approved" CC mods to be used. FO76 has also been a huge joke(not that Bethesda's Fallout series seems to be much related to the Interplay games- they got the brand license in a buyout and were content to use a familiar name) and I can't stand a single thing about the trash NuDoom games or the dev team behind them. Wolfenstein got internally destroyed because the Wolf dev team apparently doesn't mix well with the views of anyone else in the company. MS probably won't be any friendlier to the modding community than Bethesda has been turning to and the retail experience will be a hassle. The only positive I see is maybe Carmack coming back to Doom and tossing those new games into the trash can where they belong but that's going to be a minor concession. I'll say it straight out- I had no high hopes for TES6 even ignoring what I expected them to do to the modding community. If they canonize one side of the civil war it's going to tick off 50% of the player base either way, and between Skyrim's initial development nearly not even having an Imperial option and the marketing that Doom Eternal got, they'd side with the Stormcloaks. It's also been almost 9 years and we have seen nothing solid to indicate any real work is happening. At most now with MS in charge it'll be a total Duke Nukem Forever situation where they force the game under that title to be made just to say it got made but it won't be that good because of the obvious rush job. I have also stuck with Win7 because everything I hear about Win10 is an insult to the people who use it. They'll force decisions on the user and will override your settings if they feel like it. I doubt any of their upcoming Bethesda games will even be Win7 compatible... didn't they already "officially" end support for the OS?
  16. It's been made pretty clear by many people that Dawnguard feels woefully unfinished and rushed. I'm not going to cover all the reasons why but the actual Dawnguard faction is probably the worst of any you can join. You will ultimately do 99% of the actual work, the members you have to waste time recruiting do nothing to warrant the extra work, the rest of the faction only puts in any remote effort in the final battle- and they barely matter. And if ANY faction warranted you becoming the leader, it would be this, because Isran is dead weight. You will be named arch-mage for doing little work and learning... I think 2 spells at most for the College quest regardless of not being qualified for the role, you're suddenly the Harbinger when others in the Companions likely have the seniority to gain the title... and even if you side with the Volkihar vampires you become the new head of the castle when Harkon dies. Even when it's all over with, the entire Dawnguard stays at the fort and dumps all the smaller jobs on you whenever you show up. Avarti probably covered that and a lot more in his video on the Dawnguard being idiotic. That brings me to Isran. He's a narrow-minded, unstable knight templar focused on one goal and little ability to understand anything that differs from his narrow goals. He's got severe blinders on because of his past watching vampires kill his family- and while MOST vampires in the lore are bloodthirsty, evil and have one-track minds, he's not really capable of understanding that some vampires aren't like that even after witnessing evidence to the contrary. He only eventually acknowledges Serana as "different" after she assists in killing Harkon and it's clear that he only doesn't kill her when she arrives at the fort because she's got the Elder Scroll and necessary information- but calls her "it". Even most of the other Danwguard members openly dislike him. I can only imagine how enraged he'd be if he ever learned of Count Hasildor(honestly, this DLC would have been an excellent excuse to bring him back) I should point out that, lore-wise, while vampires are a certified threat, it's rare they're a major threat. Harkon's plan is an uncommon instance of vampires actually trying anything on a grand scale and even on the vampire side most of them think his plan is too insane and dangerous to work right. For the most part they're no worse than bandits, Necromancers, wolves, Falmer, goblins, trolls, ogres, giants, those car-sized spiders... Isran also seems to be unconcerned with the Civil War, the Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood or the dragons, not to mention the Thalmor, who have probably done more in 100 years to harm Tamriel than vampires have in a few thousand. And if, at any point, you become a vampire, he'll turn his back on you, as will the entire guild, until you get cured. No matter if you've already done the full quest, multiple radiant side quests, etc. Even if he's already somewhat accepted Serana and lets her walk around the place as a vampire, he gives you no such regard. Even if all you stick to for feeding are the bandits and necromancers that you probably already kill anyway if you're a heroic character. It's not like any of the other guilds seem to mind when you have glowing eyes, so long as you're not breaking any laws. He's a poor leader that's too arrogant to see the world around him, does little actual work from the point you join and refuses to waver in his narrow views no matter what you or anyone else does to warrant better treatment. Dawnguard is in long overdue need of an overhaul mod, honestly.
  17. I managed to determine it was this mod, which just drops replacement textures & meshes into the DATA folder with no ESP. Removing the new default female face mesh fixed it https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/17704
  18. I turned my character into a vampire and had to do a lot of work to prevent the dirty face bug and tried a few mods. Unfortunately even if a mod is disabled it still leaves meshes & textures behind. Something looks off, like it's using the "cured" face without the sunken cheeks. It definitely looks different than before I started the face fixing exercise. Is there any way I can reliably change it back to the default face? Without knowing what caused this, randomly deleting meshes or textures could really break stuff.
  19. ...or general issues with compatibility patches of Legacy Of The Dragonborn as the mod disabled comments! The wiki states I need patches for certain mods https://legacy-of-the-dragonborn.fandom.com/wiki/Compatibility_Patches This is supposed to be an AIO patch compilation https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72921 In this case, dropping the mace means I can't make a replica of it without a patch to support the mod in question. The compilation comes with no instructions and most of the patches are in folders that have 2-3 letter initials, and the internal patches in those folders often lack useful names. As is typical with mod authors who jump to SE, they totally abandon their LE mods and disable comments on those mods. I can not figure out which patch I need, if it s even in this set at all, as there is no proper list of what mods this contains patches for.
  20. One quest in Solstheim for the Skaal village requires you do this, so it will at least break that.
  21. There is ONE such mod on the whole Nexus, made several years ago. All it does is send your adopted kids back to their initial location. Something better should have been made by now. The idea- * Find a new willing parent. You've decided your life is too dangerous/you're never home anyway/you're becoming a vampire/whatever. Locate a family who can take the children and be their new adoptive parent for you. * Optional- find similar parents to get the orphanage children adopted. No wonder those kids sit there- literally no one in all of Skyrim shows any interest in adoption, even if Grelod has been dealt with and adoptions are opened. Expand this to children sent there after their parents die(because even if you're a good character- especially if- you probably want to off that child beater in Rorikstead).
  22. I have noticed this in both playthroughs, starting around the sun stone and going east, only in the ashy region. Potentially mod-related as I do have this installed, but it's the only mod(except maybe USLEEP) I use that touches Solstheim's exterior- https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36017
  23. The coding required for it would be complex for a modern game and it would require voice acting to either be cut, possible questions to be very limited or expanded to potentially a hundred or more response lines for a single character to account for any possible question- which is going to massively increase how much HDD space the game eats up.
  24. Disregarding my sheet dislike of Id Software(which is a Bethesda subsidiary studio now, not the company that John Carmack founded) and the sheer mess that has been Fallout 76... I'm not hopeful of TES6, either... if it ever happens. I'm doubtful of that right now as they seem to barely be putting work into it and have neglected it for years. There was a lot about Oblivion that mods fixed- OOO or similar was essential to fix how broken the leveling system was. Limiting the player to 1 ring slot was dopey. That said, while Skyrim took a lot of leaps forward(leveling is no longer garbage, though could still be better in some ways), it took several steps back. Magic is basically useless, you have to level up the skill tree to even make magic useful at higher levels and even still the spells you buy aren't very good. Calm/Pacify does nothing once your level is so high and everyone levels with you. Damage increases barely scale when everyone has 300+ HP and your ice spike is doing 20 damage. It's so useless that you only need to use it... I think 4 times total in the magic college questline! I hate dual-wielding because it's either a choice of a shield OR healing magic while Oblivion allowed both. I barely even get to use shields in a playthrough. We can't make spells by design because Todd felt it was "cheating". They deliberately neutered a system to be useless because we didn't use it their preferred way in Oblivion- and yet they left in a weird system of alchemy, enchanting, crafting that is easy to exploit to make weapons that do 1 million damage without using mods, console commands, etc... and never patched it out. Enchanting likewise has issues with that "dismantle equipment instead of using spells" nonsense and some items like a resist poison necklace failing to spawn past level 20 only further hinders a bad idea. Invisibility was also next to useless, what with it wearing off if you do anything, again, by design- Todd didn't agree with us playing a game we paid for in a way he didn't approve. No underwater combat? Bad idea. I do not enjoy trying to shoot a slaughterfish I can't see with an arrow so I can fast travel. They also really cranked up the idea you're playing a villain who only saves the world out of selfish desires. Most "evil" choices in Oblivion were purely optional and only 2 of the Daedric Prince quests really stuck out as wholly evil(and OOO offered a heroic option to Molag Bal's quest). Skyrim wants us to join the Dark Brotherhood with the destruction quest being lazy with fewer rewards. They all but force us into the Thieves guild with the destruction quest having been canned. Most shrine quests are blatantly evil and if you somehow can choose the heroic option(which is not an option really given in many cases) you get nothing so the whole quest is a waste of your time to do. Many of these need mods to have choices. The earlier development favored the Stormcloaks(who are blatantly a bunch of racists that want to either force out or kill any non-Nord in Skyrim- you excluded but Ulfric wants you only because of your dragon blood) and the Imperial option was only give later on. Sure, the writing was on the wall when they canonized the Dragonborn's appearance but I expect TES6 will be a giant middle finger to moral hero players. They'll stick to their canon Dragonborn appearance, pick a side in the civil war, say the DB quest was all canon(even the destruction quest leaves 2 known survivors and room to say the Emperor was killed regardless), Dragonborn bcame a avmpire and sided with Volkihar, blah blah... player choice from Skyrim will be disregarded and choices in 6 will, I imagine, be incredibly limited or nonexistent in the name of "lore". I'd wager character creation may even get the axe if they're feeling super picky. These are the same "lore" writers who have seemingly forgotten about the Shivering Isles DLC even happening as they treat Skyrim Sheogotath as if he were the original now. I'd also expect TES Online to be de-canonized since it's made by a different studio, if a lore writer doesn't like some picky little detail or two from the game. They can't even decide if the novels are official canon. That's if they don't just do another Daggerfall "warp in the west" situation to say all the Skyrim choices happened in branching timelines- it would be incredibly lazy but the only way I could see them not upsetting half the fanbase by canonizing certain major decisions. They'll use the time fissure from Alduin as a convenient excuse to explain it away. Either that or they'll "not explain a damn thing" by setting the game off 100 years later in a distant land and making only vague references to Skyrim's events. As for the modding scene... I don't see them supporting it outside of Creation Club. Mods will probably require official keys to install and function, and all officially-sold mods will be deemed "lore" as all Skyrim CC is treated as official canon too- to make you pay a fortune for a $40 game. Disabling achievements in SE if you run unofficial mods is a big sign they no longer care for the scene that practically make their games more than playable and FIXES BUGS. Yeah, enjoy not having unofficial patches... it's not that I get the impression they care what we want so long as their products sell enough to make a profit. The whole ending of Dawnguard, even if you disregard every other instance, showed a blatant disregard for what players might want. They wrote Serana as flirty yet had her deny marriage through some pretty forced reasons, claiming they didn't think we'd even want to marry her, despite being one of few characters who has a personality at all(yet you can marry the housecarl who you have talked to for 30 seconds and has barely any personality stronger than that of a Dalek!). If they didn't want us to marry her they could have left the dialog completely out instead of having her turn whiny. And yes, the marriage system was barely a thing to start with as it offered little benefit to gameplay, that also could have used extensive overhauling for role play purposes(I say the same for adoption, too). If not for the mod to marry Serana I'd have skipped it totally. I'm to the point I'd rather not see a TES6 happen than it to be a horrible mess that ticks people off, because it will. Todd will inevitably attack critics and defend decisions as he's done with FO76 rather than admit he messed up. That's if Bethesda isn't closing down in 5-10 years because they are clearly struggling these days, maybe not in sales (yet) but definitely in PR.
  25. Hire your own Housecarl, see if she works with that mod. You can boot your existing housecarl with it as well. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25475
