Safe to remove Wintermyst - Enhanctments of Skyrim from current save game?

I use Wintermyst and it affects all items and gives them new enchantments at random but I dont want to use it anymore since I dont like it... I have played 18 hours with this mod on my save file and I want to remove it. I know it's not a good idea but I want to know whats the worst thing that can happen?

Since it has a bunch of scripts in it there could be all kinds of problems involving current and future enchantments causing your hair to fall out. You can:

1. Save a copy of your save game file to someplace else (that you can find again).

2. Remove the mod.

3. Log in and make a clean save with the mod gone.

4. Run the new save through a script cleaner.

5. Cross your fingers, hope for the best and continue playing.

Start a new game without the mod.

Make sure you unequip everything before you save, too. Probably best to do the same for your followers as well.
