deathjam
I tried the patch and it fixed one of my major issues...bookshelves not working at all after patch 1.3. Now its all good (though the books I had disappeared so I have to go text hunting again!). Most of the quest bugs I had, of which there were only a few, I had already found a way around them so I can say how well it works in this regard, but as others have said, performance is even better than what I experienced with TESVAL and Skyboost but to even get the game to run, I had to delete Skyboost files (for skyboost to work you have to get rid of TESVAL files so those are already gone) as it would report an error and not let the game start. Also, loading from a fresh save improves performance as well by removing most if not all the stutter when entering new cells and the distant landscape LOD seems to update better than before as well. All in all, a very good patch but it's early days and I did experience minor bugs with the other patches shortly after updating so time will tell. rumoon
Yay, they've fixed the Haemar's Shame CTD bug; I can finally finish the companions (?) bow quest :)
EnterSevenSeven
Has anyone been able to start "Blood on the Ice" after completing the Civil War questline and siding with the Imperials? Heard on other forums that the patch fixed this issue, but I still can't get it to initiate myself.
Brandy1123
400 Bad Request !!!! Looks like Bethesda needs a patch. Certainly not giving the boost of confidence I had hoped for.

Heard on other forums that the patch fixed this issue, but I still can't get it to initiate myself.Nope. I STILL can't get the quest to trigger. *Is sad.* :( I've been trying to get that bloody quest to start all day and it STILL won't. (By the way, I sided with the Stormcloaks and got the same bug that keeps the "Blood on the Ice" quest from starting. I don't think the bug has anything to do with what side you chose in the civil war.) Edited January 25, 2012 by Snowsong
babis8142
I had the first ctd's after I installed the new version. Maybe it's because of the 20~ish mods I have although I haven't installed any new mods. Maybe because of the SKSE or skyboost or TESVAL or something because I'm a bit confused with all that :P From what I understand the patch corrects what TESVAL and Skyboost were meant to do so it would be best to not use those with the patch. Some people are suspecting that SKSE might be causing some instability with the beta patch. I've a had a few freezes and audio issues probably due to that. It's still a beta and early at that, so some issues are to be expected.I imagine these issues will get ironed out with the final patch. Well it wasn't the Skyboost or the TESVAL (although I didn't have the two activated at the same time; as I remember I deleted TESVAL.dll file because Skyboost asked me too and TESVAL.dll was the only file necessary for TESVAL). Soooooo it must be the patch. I also had one freeze. As for the bugged quests they said they fixed the bards college quests but they didn't. They are still stuck in my quest log and those damned items still in my inventory. Edited January 25, 2012 by babis8142

No freeze at all after 14 hours gaming 1.4beta.

I'll just save often and wait for the patch to officially come out so SKSE can come out as well. I would deactivate that as well but I need it for SKYUI
