Small, Small, Small Issue with the doors in the Red Rocket.

Hey there!

Like the title suggests, this is a wee, tiny issue that I wouldn't ask anyone put a whole lot of thought into. Though, If you've dealt with this before and know what's up... Then please! I'd love to know what you did to fix it.

See, the problem I'm having pertains specifically to the doors in the Red Rocket near Sanctuary (Haven't checked the Nuka World Red Rocket! =o) as they seem to be floating-ish. Well, I'll throw up some pictures and hopefully you'll catch my meaning.

 

I've got them floating, clipping into walls, not closing all the way... Suffice to say... Red Rocket's kind of a mess right now. >_<

howdy -

did you have a screencap of your load-order handy for folks? it might help narrow some stuff down.

 

did you use a "Red Rocket Settlements" mod, specifically v0,3 or earlier?

this issue - of mis aligned doors and roller-doors at redrockets,

did come up, and was later rectified in future Red Rocket Settlements mod updates.

see Petard's humorous vid on that hehe.

 

the replacer didn't pre-combine prior to those later versions, as a result,

sometimes the door moved or would float up out of the frame.

this was humorous for the roller door to a shipping container, which didn't contain 30+ power armors...

 

did you delete any of the Red Rocket doors or replace them,

or map to them with "any door any where" or to other world-spaces?

ie, an internal door to a new lands mod, etc?

this can also cause conflicts or weirdness from the red rocket or vault-tec doors.

 

I know this one is odd, though...

is it possible you changed the location of Red Rocket at all?

did you move the mesh while moving anything as select all in the construction menu?

sometimes, that does cause weird things to happen too.

if we're unable to solve this,

we can make a workaround -

you could make the weird doors invisible, and non-interactable,

then replace them with the door of your choice, perhaps the matching kind or what have you...

 

i'm intrigued by this, as I have a lot of Red Rocket themed settlements;

if this happened to your Red Rocket North Concord,

it could happen potentially at any of them!

that would be lame.

 

I'll check the Red Rockets in the Red Rocket Settlements player-home mod too and see if they have weird door issues hehe

There ya go! - RedRocketFixed.esp was downloaded after the appearance of the problem on Jimmy's recommendation above.
As for your questions...
Haven't tried "Red Rocket Settlements" to my knowledge. =0
Haven't touched the door to the Red Rocket, almost certain on that one.
Aaaand last one, I don't think I've done anything to the mesh. T'was about half an hour into a new game when I came across the issue. =o

I have also now got this happening to me on a couple of different FO4 installs at LAN club,

so I'm curious how folks'll go about solving it.

 

Maybe it was an update patch, or a driver update on people's systems or something?

it seems odd that its happening now-ish...

Oh and another note. All the posters that are initially part of the red rocket are hovering slightly out of place, its not just the doors.
