Rings

In real life, I have 8 fingers and 2 thumbs, all of which are available for me to adorn with rings (assuming that I can find some to fit my chubby fingers). I'm assuming that my character isn't some kind of freak, he can after all use weapons, so why is it that I can only wear one ring at a time?

Is there a mod to allow me to wear more than one?

I want to wear more than one ring that does something for example there's one that gives you 7500 extra to your carry points and one that makes you tough enough that you don't need to wear power armour all the time. Equipping one removes the other.

You can find rings that use different slots and then edit their attributes in FO4Edit. I mean hell you can put both attributes on one ring if you wanted. :smile:

@fkemman11

indeed, those are awesome answers, and awesome stuff that modders have made

it is possible to add all kinds of fun effects to items of clothing and weapons...

the One Ring to rule them all huh...

though, one wonders why having 10+ ring slots wasn't in the base game hehe.

I'm all for customization, so it's noticeably absent.

@snapper-SixNiner

you could run around in godmode, and wouldn't need a ring to be invulnerable or carry limit.

a lot of customisation from past games is not in FO4 base game,

such as faction affiliations and the disguise system.

perhaps, you need a ring in addition to that suit, to masquerade as one of the Pillars of the Community?

does the BoS have rings in addition to the holotags?

does the Enclave have rings?

maybe, the UnderBoss of UnderBoss-town (UnderBoston mod) will ask you to go fetch rings from all the leaders of the commonwealth,

to be made a champion of the UnderBoston.

Maybe the VaultTecRep collects Vault-Tec memorabilia, despite the fact that VaultTec is evil and all... he still collects bobbleheads and pins... and rings.

Maybe you can combine the ring mod with the Player Relationship Overhaul mod.

Nate and Nate, Nate and Nora, Nora and Nora...

the player can renew their vows to their partner, or have a ceremony to another companion/s.

you can give them a ring made of different scrap materials hehe.

I'm surprised there havent been more of these themed mods;

maybe you find a green ring from the sky that allows you to shoot green plasma blasts instead of a heavy melee attack?

it only recharges from this weird alien power-cell, if you say some goofy rhyme or something.

It's not what you think - its from the Children of Atom, trying to make a ring that uses Rads to make their imaginations into reality...

it's a hypothetical, and would use sound alikes and not the distinct terms etc, just incase anyone was about to get worried about IP and all.

Thanks for your replies. Hardware I can deal with, coding/modding, not so much. I can screw my game up using other peoples mods, I hate to think how royally I could screw it up if I tried some of the things suggested here, still I may have a look, I may surprise myself. Still, in the words of Dirty Harry, " a man's got to know his limitations".

Just look at HN66's stuff. Clothes, rings, and other. Also check Lovers Lab. :smile:

Is it hard to make necklaces for this game? There are a few- but not many.

It's not particularly "hard" just annoying, because the "neck/head" and "body" are separate meshes with separate bones, but a Necklace needs the bones for both, so it's a bit convoluted to create them simply with programs like Outfit Studio.

  • 2 weeks later...
After all this, I discovered that the mod I am using for my companions, The Ring of Low Maintenance, can also be sunglasses. a bowler hat, a dog collar and a couple of other things, so I can wear it as sunglasses.
