I log into the mods download site on a daily basis ( when the site is available ) which is where it all goes pear shaped.

You need to seriously get the server situation sorted! yesterday for instance can't log in at all, today get the basic fonts and ofcourse the bloody adverts and nothing else, yes I understand the site is busy and has been eversince it started so why isn't there been any improvements to the servers??? and when the CK gets released it will only get busier.

I've also mentioned this before that there is a problem with virus attacks on the site which has not been addressed and I don't mean from downloading mods but from just browsing the site.

I look forward to receiving your generous donation of £20,000 so I can get another server as powerful as the one Skyrim Nexus is already using to double up on the resources. Alternatively if you wish to donate the more generous sum of £150,000, we can go fully load-balanced and make our own cloud and CDN to really make things zippy.

I accept all major credit cards, Pay Pal, wire transfers and cheques.

Looking forward to hearing from you

PS. if you donate £150k I will buy a party hat to celebrate.

Nexus has been changing over domains and sending new cookies over the last day, I suggest you clear your browser cache.

As far as the virus attacks, some of the random ads are the culprit and its nearly impossible to figure out which ones are the cause. You can stop that yourself by using a good ad blocker (I use Adblock+, haven't been hit with an ad-hijacker since).

Edit: ninja'd and lol @ Robin!

Has anyone been getting the fake anti-virus browser hijacker?

It's quite harmless as long as you don't click the .exe file, it can appear

even by clicking on a picture, ie mod jpg image, so look like a bit of

cross scripting going on there.

How many times do I have to say this?

Its not the site, its most likely your internet browser, try something like firefox as 99% of the time the reason for those kind of problems are to do with you being lazy and as soon as theres a problem you vent on the forums.

And also, how many times do I have to say this? Put it in the right forums, this is for skyrim, not for you to moan, put it in the off topic or something, it will just get locked here when a moderater sees it

I've been hitting the site religiously since the game released and I've never once seen this here. Obviously other's are seeing something... I use IE 9 and Microsoft Security Essentials and that's it.

There are some ads in circulation in the ad banner service that have the scamware hijackers embedded in them. I was getting hit about once a month (and no, theres nothing you can do to prevent infection once that ad loads) from random banner ads until I started using Adblock+. Since then, I have not been hit with any of those scamware ads.
