ValkyrieAngeli
I've gone online on Steam to make sure I was and I've verified my cache for Fallout 4 to make sure it was updated.I could've done something in the past to muck it up though so please ask for any information I can provide
iXenite
This should work. 1. Right click the game in the steam client.2. Go to properties.3. Go to updates tab.4. Drop down menu on automatic updates.5. Choose high priority.6. Reboot steam client.
ValkyrieAngeli
It still didn't work.I've basically searched for every option online and nothing has helped me.I'll continue to look. But I do believe that for some reason my Fallout 4 is out of date for some reason, and that is most likely the cause. ValkyrieAngeli
What would happen if I uninstalled it from my control panel?
iXenite
Well, you could uninstall the game and then reinstall it through Steam. Maybe that will fix it. Even if you use the Control Panel Steam always handles the uninstall anyway, just so you know. Your copy is from Steam right? Figure it would be good to ask - as that would make a big difference. Fonger
think its around a 25+ gig re-download-install presuming its a legit copy experimentally delete your local version of the game executable then steam verify the files it should replace the missing file they you will need to re-edit the stuff to allow mods to work Edited March 7, 2017 by Fonger
iXenite
they you will need to re-edit the stuff to allow mods to work You still need to edit .ini files to allow mods with Fallout 4? I don't own Fallout 4 on PC, so I don't know. I did assume that was just an "early days" sort of thing before Bethesda officially "allowed" mods when they released their modding platform and the CK. ValkyrieAngeli
Currently I'm downloading the HD Texture Pack that was introduced recently. It's downloading about 55 GB worth of data, so maybe the patch is included? By the way, I do not have all of the DLC for Fallout 4.*The HD Texture pack installed properly but I am still receiving an error when attempting to run Fallout 4 through F4SE.In-Game in the "Mods" section, it says that I do not have any mods installed. ValkyrieAngeli
Fixed the issue. But now there is another problem. I have TWO Fallout 4 folders, it's basically like I have downloaded Fallout 4 TWICE. Now I need to cleanly merge them or somehow move my mods to the proper place. How would I go about this? iXenite
That's really weird that you would have two installs of the same game. I'm not even sure Steam allows that to happen, so I'm not really sure how to fix that. Sorry. :(
