purge all mods?

is there a way to easily remove all mods and files without having to pick through ever folder in my /data section?

 

 

when i discovered mods, i sorta went hog wild before i understood how the worked at all. id like to pick and choose more selectively. now ive got a tonne of mods that overlap, and generally seem to be creating problems (including me currently not being able to get past the game loading screen after you choose which save you want to play. if anyone has any insight into the little problem id love to hear it)

 

if you know how to do this. id love to hear it.

Did you use NMM? if so it is really easy to remove installed mods for it "remembers" the installed files. Otherwise may be still easier to get it and reinstall all your mods you already have and then disable then as wish than patrolling all those folders.

 

BUT, possibly your actual problem is having installed mods for "wrong" game's version, or for wrong utilities version (like SKSE, Script dragon and such). For this last is what the reported symptoms looks like. Again installing NMM may be your best bet because it is able to show the version you have and point there are newer versions for the mod (what in this unstable game phase with that much beta patching may be the breaking point).

 

That said, there is no easy quick and dirty way to remove mods without seriously risking to break things yet more than consistently removing the files with care, avoiding leftovers or removing more than should.

at worst uninstall reinstall, make a back up of the data file somewhere safe and start again then if there is a problem you can delete data only and just copy across. Also when installing a new mod it's a good idea to make an archive of what you are changing so you can easily go back to it.
