daventry
I suppose you must Download it through Steam witch cancels any Steam Gameplay till its done, the Worst 12 Hour Wait on a Patch is murder enough.
natelovesyou
I'm not going to be cynical. I, for one, think that the CK will come out Tuesday, and that the surprise will be an announcement on a future DLC. :D Or, maybe extra tools to accompany the CK?? NoAardvarksAllowed
I'm not going to be cynical. I, for one, think that the CK will come out Tuesday, and that the surprise will be an announcement on a future DLC. :D Or, maybe extra tools to accompany the CK??Me too. (Or Wednesday, at the latest.) Remember, the January release of the CK was announced on 1 December, so if Beth many weeks later happened to miss it by a week, is it really such a big deal? As for those who speaks of lies, do you actually know what the word means? I mean, honestly, do you think Bethesda said January, but actually intended to release it a week into February to, what, annoy their customers out of spite? If you agree to meet a friend for lunch at 12 o'clock the next day, and you show up 5 minutes late, does that make you a liar?
ginnyfizz
I think that they have cynically delayed the release of the CK to try and rain on Kingdom's of Amalur's parade, which is about as bad. Apart from the fact that it was delayed for Steam integration which hardly anyone wants.

hejpadig
Having a feeling the surprise is either extremely nice, or extremely bad, oh wait. But honestly, I believe they made a date they're ready for, they would even feel bad about it themselves if they pushed it any further. They want to be done with it as much as we want it. Let's just unite and enjoy the CK! Edited February 4, 2012 by hejpadig
Iv000
Some people say that the surprise will be a High-res texture pack. There's even some proof of that:http://i.imgur.com/9RKcH.png I personally think that an official high res pack would be a perfect surprise! It would definitely make up for some of the problems they had with the game and it's patches.
Feanoro
HMM...would the high res texture pack be usable with an older video card? What resources would it stress harder than a normal texture pack?
ginnyfizz
A high res texture pack is all well and good, but of course...it would be downloadable from Steam Workshop no doubt. And I am unhappy about downloading anything where I can't see exactly what files I am overwriting. I really do not like the auto download and install aspect of Steam. Question is, will it be possible to get the Creation Kit and NOT the high res pack? Time to back up my textures folder I guess. I would hate to have my attractive toons turned back into wizened prunes with Romulan brows.
Dambuster
The surprise is that Bethesda have been monitoring this forum and and all those who have complained about the creation kit and been childish little weeners games will stop working on tuesday.
