Then, you'll have to describe, in detail, exactly what you did, and where the files now reside, to show that, indeed, you've followed the instructions and for some reason your setup has caused an error. Every time I've had problems, they've occurred because I did not follow the instructions as directed. Probably because I didn't understand the basic instruction terminology, but again, that still has to be detailed. As soon as I post a thread that only says "I installed....and it doesn't work", everyone knows that I can't be helped, because no one knows what I actually did. Good luck. kevkiev
Readme's are usually to be followed, for sure. But although It's been awhile since I dl'd NVSE 4GB I recall that, even though the readme states the files don't have to be in your game folder, it didn't work for me unless I put all files (the .exe,, the .dll and the source folder) in the main game folder (ie the one that holds the data folder). That's where I have it installed now and it works like a charm.

Mckrty
Has anyone had this problem with fnv4gb_nvse: I have tried using it with with just the short cut to the fnv4gb.exe and the folder and all files located on my C:\ drive. I have also tried using it with fnv4gb.exe and fnv4gb_helper.dll in my game folder. I don't have a problem starting FONV in either case but the game locks up when I quit and will not return to the windows desk top unless I use task manager and kill the fnv4gb.exe process. Does anyone know what the fix is for this (if one exists.) camaro_69_327
Hi, First ..nice thread necro....post before yours is a year old...lol Anyway my Understanding of the crash on exit is, the Game is trying to reference something that cant be found, a deleted reference or some such. I also had this problem, but is now gone, not sure if it was from cleaning the DLC's (in FNVEdit) or its because I use Stutter remover and have "Fast Exit" enabled. SO 2 things to try to Fix 1) Stutter remover, besides having the "Fast Exit" option it really does help keep a fully modded Bethesda game running smooth. This includes Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout. They all have that stutter and I for one see it, and it drives me nuts. 2) Google youtube videos on cleaning mods, (especially the Official DLC's) with FNVEdit. It is easy once you get the hang of it. Edit: To add.... I noticed you have a X64 OS and only have 4 GB ram, get to at least 8 GB if ya want to have a bunch of mods and have the Game running smooth. My system...Bragging follows... With 96 mods running, and most texture packs, I can run my system up to 8.5 GB of system ram in use, This is with 2 (3 GB) 580's in SLI, The game itself will use ALL 4 GB a program is allowed to have, i can see this in process explorer, once the game is closed the ram drops a full 4 GB. With that many mods and textures my 580's humm along using 2 GB of Graphic goodness. (For any nay sayers /unbeilvers i can and will post screenies, i did for oblivion) :) Edited January 9, 2014 by camaro_69_327

I have stutter remover installed but I was not aware of the "Fast Exit" setting, how do I enable this ? As far as the 4gb of actual system memory, I would like to double up on that but in my research on the capabillity on this MB I have not found a cocncrete answer as to wether or not it can be upgraded. Official word on this is that the board can only support 2 2x2s altough I have read posts that say they can be swaped out for 4x2s, Btw this is a Asus G60Vx RBBX05 in case you are curious. I'm a bit leary about droping ~$200 on a 4x2 kit if I don't know for a fact they will fuction on this board. One more question, I have seen many of Gophers' vid's on improving performance and decided to give FFNV a try. Turned out to be a bad choice so I removed the short cut and the files from the FONV game folder but im not sure if FakeFullscreen makes any changes to any of the .inis that need to be edited on removal, do you know?
