My full portfolio: www.miguel-nogueira.com (concept art, graphics and 3d modeling and texturing)

Who I am:

Miguel Nogueira, based in Portugal (GMT Timezone +0, same as London)

Age: 27; just graduated from art+design college

For years I've joined and made my own projects, from modding game engines, importing assets, texturing, some of it you'll see on the link above to my portfolio.

I've done work and level design on CryEngine, made a survival game in Unity with my college friends, joined competitions...

I'm looking to be of help to mod teams or groups that have a great project in hands but are shorthanded of people.

As far as availability, I have other (paid) projects running, but they are not too many and I have decided I can't have dead times in my schedule, I rather collaborate, work, inspire and be inspired within a group than dicking around the house with nothing to do, even if for a couple of hours.

Feel free to contact me about anything! email is on the site.

Keep it up

- M

I think it's easy to say that your talents are probably in demand here. :)

Find something that turns you on. Then dive headfirst into it. That's my advice.

Like people have said, there are plenty of projects out there, mostly it's a question up to how large a project you wanna join. If it's a large project you may find it hard to add much to your resume until the project is finished, which sometimes doesn't happen. Some projects are also less structured than other (like getting a pm with "hey can you make a police car?") while some have private gits setup for members to push updates. If you are super serious and are looking for a more professional workflow you may prefer the latter.

To add to what people mentioned Fallout Cascadia is best contacted on their Discord server https://discord.gg/eNbXrTe (the offical website is http://www.falloutcascadia.com). On their Discord it says:

Q: Ok then what are you taking on right now then? A:Creation Kit Animators, Concept Artists, Level Designers, Scripters and Music aficionados

There is also sort of overlapping personal project lead by the co lead level designer rdtg, if you interested in that you should contact him directly (again recommend using discord) as I'm not sure how much of that project is public.

I dare say you wont have any trouble finding a place :)

Good luck!

I could use a nice 2048 (square) sheet of lined paper looking (free use) texture (because I'm lame with textures and making them not look like plastic) to make into a wall(s) that will have doodle decals (most likely decals, at least) applied. ;-)

Not much in the way of models, I'm mostly still focused on bug fixing at the moment. =(

...and I can always use new/refined collision for a few bigger-than-normal objects (but that requires 3ds 2013 which not everyone has). =)

Anywho, good luck no matter what you end up doing. =D

(All very short-term, straightforward stuff though, so not terrible interesting or great for portfolios...but my schedule doesn't do well with teams)

(I wasn't able to get ahold of my usual person, they're probably busy but they were also looking for more long term stuff)
