shalheira
I never thought that these three, especially Teräsbetoni, could ever be known abroad. That Teräsbetoni started off as a joke and spreaded through internet first but then they've been trying to get more serious with their band. How have you found it anyway? So, you like viking metal or "folk metal". Have you listened Falkenbach? I think that's the best folk metal band I've heard. My other favorites include Disturbed, Mastodon, Tool, Lacuna Coil, Amorphis, Anathema, Within Temptation, Evanescense, Sentenced, Nazareth and some other I don't remember right now. Hiphop is something I wouldn't touch with a long stick and also the most extreme forms of metal music like death, black, trash..etc, are sommething I hate.Hahahaha! Teräsbetoni! I started to listen them because a friend of mine travelled to Finland two years ago and told to me that he discovered a joke-band called Teräsbetoni (when he said to me that the translation of the name was "Reinforced Concrete" I laughed a lot  ). I loved their music since the first time I've listened it. Their reminded me a little to a spanish joke-band, "Gigatrón".Of Korpiklaani, my parents bought me, in 2005, their cd "Voice of Wilderness". Since this date, I continued listened to their music. And Ensiferum was a recomendation of a friend three or four years ago. Yeah, I listened to Falkenbach, they are a great band, with a very emotional and deep music (for me). Well, I have the same opinion of you of hip-hop and "reggaeton" (it's and horrible kind of music, I cannot describe it with a sound of my mouth...) elpiggo
I like Heavy Metal and Drum & Bass. One of the greatest mysteries of life is what the people refer to the latter as 'chav music' listen to at parties.
Kresselack
I personally dont see why black metal is hated so much. I like them because they actually sound like metal and dont become sellouts. Remember what happened to Children of Bodom? They used to sound like metal with their slight techno/rave keyboardist, then they started to sound like grunge crap. I agree Korpiklaani is great! Carah
Lately I've been listening to a lot of Frank Zappa, George Harrison, Neil Young, M.I.A, The Headstones (greatests T.O. band), my definition of old school punk like NOFX, Operation Ivy, Dead Kennedy's, And The Day Glo Abortions, and when I need to scream; it's Billy Talent. My husband (who should of been a DJ) has introduced me to bands from the 70's, because that was when he was starting to get into music. I love anything that has a sultry, seductive, blues guitar, like Frank, and Stevie Ray. Oh, and I can't forget my Celtic, and Newfie music. I gotta stay connected. Something about the sound of bagpipes that makes me cry, and not in a bad way (genetic history, maybe).
doomjockey
I don't get the whole metal thing. While I realize every genre has its own degrees of complexity and skill, I've never heard a particularly impressive group/song. It's about on the same level as rap in my reckoning. Of course I might just be the uncool old dude come early at the age of twenty-four. *shrug*
Lisnpuppy
I love all diffent music but reall, really can not stand country. Considering where I live I am a virtual social outcast. I grew up listening (in utero)Chicago (no the wussy 80's version--but the super rocking 1968 Chicago Transit Authority) Styx, the Doobie Brothers, Led Zepplin..that kinda thing. I still listen to that also. I like old metal (Metallica-And Justice for All and prior) and that stuff. Love 80s hair bands (Go Crue!) :) I really loved Soundgarden and still love Chris Cornell (whom I touched in college!) and Alice in Chains. I listed to Disturbed, Godsmack, Nickleback, 3 Doors Down Type O Negative....I love stuff that has a nice grove to it. And things I can turn up the radio really loud and sing to (turn up loud enough not to be able to hear myself!) I like old hip hop...like Run DMC but todays rap is really beyond me. I think I may be getting old. Or I have a daughter now and seeing those videos and imagining how proud those girl's fathers must be gets me a bit green around the gills.
