speaker60
So i recently saw the sim settlements mod and thought it was amazing but havnt installed it yet as right know im building a mega vault in vault 88After seeing people making various addons for sim settlements i had an idea for vault 'rooms' that work like 'building plots' from the mod Like an apartment room that i place down and assign a settler(I mean vault dweller) to and it is slowly filled with clean vault furniture and itemsCould have various rooms of various sizes setup like this like apartments with and without ensute bathrooms and kitchens, shops, reactors, Offices(for vault administration) ect I figure the rooms could snap on to the atrium door frames or room endcap door framesI think this would make vault building so much better, i can spend more time being the overseer and less time meticulously hand placing ever last object Id like it to be compatible with the vault bed mod(well the bed was just cut content so id like to see it used) Id like to hear what people think
Ethreon
People think you should pick up the framework readily available and make it.
AuroraMoon
That would be amazing. although I imagine it might need a lot of hard work and effort to make it happen. Things you'd need for a Sim Vault: 1)Greenhouse room or a food generator room. In fact, why not have both? A greenhouse room for those who likes to eat natural foods. The food generator room creates synthesized foods using a mod like this one: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/18630/?2) Business-run rooms. Bar/eating area, Entertainment area with games in it (Need nukaworld dlc addon for this one), Barber, Clinic and so on forth. 3) miscellaneous rooms like Classrooms, which could add happiness to the settlement. maverikch
yup. i was also looking up for something like sim settlements vault edition. you would get some prfab rooms which you can snap to doorways - a smaller and a bigger room. because i got now my huge vault built and empty rooms standing around and am lacking of ideas how the furnish them ;) possiblity 1: only the door and floor would be visible and the rest woul random gnerate, for expample the rype of quarter room (1, 2, 3, 4). and then the room would start to furnish. problem here would be placing windows. you would have to work with static positioning of door and windows the same way for every "plot". alternativaly you would build the room yourself. but could place a invisable (or visiable) carpet in that specific vault room and it would tart to furnish. but hre i se the conflict that the mod would have to recognize where the door and windows are to not place objects covering entrace and windows view. this would be hard work to fullfill wiith scrippting and stuff. Now that sounds like a good solution to the vault "problem". It might actually end up being more doable to have a "rug system" that has the same setup as Sim settlements. A system set up like this: Two domestic rugs, each one generating beds that are specifically meant for a single person and or a couple. Those rugs would be somewhat large as seeing it would also generate side tables with lamps, etc. the single-bed rug one could also have options for child settlers, so that it looks like a child is sleeping there. A entertainment area rug, that generates... you guessed it, Sofas, chairs and a TV/radio thing. Or maybe even a fireplace in place of a TV instead, depending on the settler's preferences. A eating area Rug and a kitchen area rug that generates different types of eating areas, etc. Maybe the kitchen one could produce food too, depending on what the settlers find around them? Personally, I would like everything to have a prewar look to them if the rug system was going to be used inside vaults.
