Dupre232
Well you don't have any duplicates. I don't have any other ideas other than checking the IDs the next time you see it, or loading all your mods into FO4Edit and checking the items that crash to see what mods are altering them. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Ramagast
Did you find out what's causing the glitch? I have it as well and it's extremely irritating.
SystemLordBhaal
I know this is a bit of a necro but I finally solved this problem. The mod with the issue was also causing CTD when transitioning doorways on top of the duplicate item issues. Remove Functional Displays. I couldn't believe this mod was the problem but it works, I have been CTD free for days since uninstalling this mod.
Ramagast
Yeah, it's Functional Displays all right. I'm still using it in current playthrough, but manually deleted all meshes for vanilla items it installed. It helped and I got to keep the nice collectibles the mod provides. Still not sure about CTD's when going through doorways - haven't encountered them in some time.
SystemLordBhaal
I'm so glad to be free of the crashes, incredibly frustrating! I didn't think about the meshes, that's a solid idea, I'll probably do the same, thanks for the tip!
NeoMeteora
I don't know if people still got this problem, but I found somewhat a solution with benefits.whenever you see a duplicated item, open console, use help "item name" 4 and check their Base ID. pick the one with Base ID, open inventory, dropped it, open console, check if their base ID is now same. If so, pick both. basically now you loot 2 items. Edited May 13, 2018 by NeoMeteora
Addikti
Oh man, I wish I had read this earlier. Ever since I installed a bunch of new mods - Functional Displays included - in one go (bad behavior, I know), I had a hunch it might be the one giving me trouble. CTDs very often when switching from interior to exterior or on fast travel. Funny thing is, though, that I have never noticed duplicate objects, rather single objects that seem to be levitating with nothing visible underneath, and picking up those will also often crash the game. I just kinda have not cared because I save often and the game loads rather fast. I only use it for the neat collectibles these days. It was such a nice idea. Maybe I should just setscale myself some of my own miniatures.

I assume you did this with Fo4Edit, but i can't get it to work at all.
