Have looked all over the Wiki for how to edit base actor values. Its say that from the Chararcter Menu to the Actor Values page you can edit any of them. But all the Actor values are greyed out and there doesnt seem to be anywhere where you can change them only uses for skills and perk tree. Can someone please help.

Thanks but I am trying to edit the base values. I think I could do it in game by adding to one of the scrips but that is a little messy and I haven't tested whether it would be a permanent change or it would reset on loading a new save etc.

The wiki says that the values can be edited but the creation kit won't allow this.

Any help would be fantastic.

You can change base values for base stats but not for derived stats, of course. Anyway, Should you be changing things at this level instead on a character basis? that's the question.

  • 6 years later...

I have been having the same issue with Skyrim SE. I am working on a mod that has up to eight NPCs. I h am using five right now. Some of them I can edit, but two I cannot.

I did have template, but I removed it. I assumed this to be the problem, so I went back until they could be edited, and started again from there with no template. I still have the same problem, so removing the template name did not help from the first time I did it.

Xpomul quoted above "Are you using another actor as template? If you do, your NPC may use the templates values, so you'd have to uncheck the boxes which determine the use of those preset values."

I can't find which flags to uncheck. And the last time, I shouldn't have any flags at all. These are both Housecarls that I'm having problems with. I don't think that matters though.

If anyone can help, that would be great! Thanks for any help I get!

I found the flags! They are called "Template Flags". I don't know how I missed them. Maybe this will help somebody in the future.
