I've been trying to get body slide to work but it wont, in NMM in settings i don't have a supported tools tab, I've tried going to the supported tools icon and hitting config body slide but my Fallout 4 folder doesn't have a tools tab and no matter where i put the body slide file it wont work when i tell NMM which folder its in it doesn't do anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated

bodyslide should be in a "tools" folder in your fallout4 Data folder (make one and put the bodyslide folder with all its contents in there.

Second.

Bodyslide should be run as administrator hence you have to go to the bodyslide exe properties and make it so ( both exe files)

Once that stuff is in the correct folder you should see it in NMM (maybe greyed out) .

If its grey then right click on the bodyslide icon and tell nmm where it is ( point it to the exe ) .

Note you have to restart NMM to see any changes . ( in other words close NMM then fix your folders and when done only then should you open NMM )

look up Gophers Bodyslide tutorial on Youtube, its very very helpful , and for the love of God learn a little about your pc if your gonna go dabbing into modding

can you guys be more descriptive? I don't understand what any of the computer stuff means. what tool file? what external link?

That Sort of comment is what stops people from learning and makes them not want to do it

.

I understand where you are coming from. And I do sympathize for those who aren't tech savvy as some of others of us are.

And I have a lot of patience for those that aren't. I've done a lot of tech support over the years.

However. 1) We're not here to teach people how to use their computer.

2) If somebody is so new to a PC that they don't yet understand the most basic of terms, they ARE going to get lost, when it comes to modding.

3) Refer back to 1.

I can't speak for everybody else on here, and I won't try to. But for myself, I will be more than happy to try to help somebody out if I think that I know how to. However, if they're not willing to do some of their own research, and use tools like google/yahoo/bing search... I'm not gonna do all the work for them. It's not my machine. And I'm not getting paid to sit here.

Now, all that said. Ummmm....did you realize that post was made over a year ago? ;)

The problem with a lot of this stuff is it goes from simple basics to Japanese stereo instructions in the blink of an eye & you jerks could easily give a proper response to simple questions instead of a diatribe of how you're so helpful, but can't be bothered to actually be helpful to those that need a little help to get started.

Obviously, some of the mods are plug and play, but many are not and the page descriptions typically offer no instructions at all or, as fore-mentioned, go from 'download & install' to 'find X file re-code line 14A to (12 lines of code), make sure the .bat had been modified by the patch 13.7C, etc...ad nauseum.

And FYI for the people that have nothing better to do than trol forums and start flame wars, this site is far from well organized to people that don't spend most of their lives on a computer and much of the net redirects to This Site for information regarding a great many mods for a great many games. So assuming that because someone knows how to play a game on their computer and wants to enhance it a bit, doesn't mean they should need to know how to do something like completely re-code an .ini file and certainly shouldn't be mocked because they don't and ask for help.

Be helpful or just go be by yourself.
